Just heard from @kblomquist and this is what he said
"MesaMan, sorry I have been out of service for a few days. I handed the briefcase off to LandCruiserPhil on Oct 7,2019 -thanks
Picked it up from John in Utah. Passed it on to LandCruiserPhil from Phoenix on his way through Kanab."

So... Paging @LandCruiserPhil, Do you have the briefcase?

There was 3 when they passed thru East Texas back in April 2017.

In the previous century, Wasnt there a stuffed kangaroo or something like that, that was named Elsie, being handed off periodically? I think TLCA or their magazine documented its travels.

What’s the end goal, or is it never ending and a reason to get out and meet fellow 40 forum members? Just asking to figure out which direction the briefcase needs to go. Looks like it has already made its way through Texas…..

There is no end goal...like the road less traveled, the journey is the destination.

The combos are 351 if I recall correctly.

just be sure to turn the latches horizontally, like so, to prevent the tear gas cartridge from exploding, in your face.

Confirmed, my son locked it and I went through quite a bit to figure it out. Still remember the clicking sound when he did it.

Yep. That was fun.

Here's where we all meet up in Dallas a couple of hours later.

And then I made the handoff of all three to @1911 in May of 2017.

I split them into two different routes; one to @graham5david to west Texas and another to @Fireman at the bottom of the Texas panhandle. I don't remember now which went where, but it's all in the "Our Travelogue" thread that Ryan posted a link to - here it is again: Our Travelogue... - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/our-travelogue.953611/page-8

I met @Fireman in Chillicothe TX for the brief case and the tan tool box. Case went to @4Cruisers and then went to the old Classic Cruisers in Salida for the hand off of the tool box to the Colorado crew.
