I would meet in Tucson if someone would bring it from Phoenix. If someone in Tucson wanted to carry it, I could meet somewhere between Tucson and Silver City. From here I could travel North or East to pass it on.

Was hoping to get in on one of the routes, but that’s a little far from South Tx…although Montana is high on the bucket list! The Tan Toolbox is sitting in Bozeman, Montana...
My 40 is sitting in the garage with a burnt up wiring harness.
Feel free to swing in and grab it
I'll try to make it over sometime in September or October once things get a little more settled here, and we get rid of the smoke for the year. I have a buddy in Belgrade I haven't bothered in a while. The Tan Toolbox is sitting in Bozeman, Montana...

Sounds good. If I get the wiring harness sorted out before the snow flies I'd meet you half way. A long drive in the 40 sounds SOOOOOOOO nice right now.I'll try to make it over sometime in September or October once things get a little more settled here, and we get rid of the smoke for the year. Until you stop at the gas station!A long drive in the 40 sounds SOOOOOOOO nice right now.
Wow…No s***!!Until you stop at the gas station!

If it makes it down this way I'd be happy to meet you in the Four Corners area, maybe even as far north as Hovenweep National Monument - my wife and I have never been there before even though we've been in northern New Mexico since 1956/1957.Not sure what you guys are complaining about I have something like a 400+ mile range
I can still make it up to Jackson or west Yellowstone and would be pretty happy to bring it down to Albuquerque-ish.
Welcome to the 40 family Nate! The baton hand-off is a blast to participate in, definitely get your hands on one of the 3. Sounds like you are enjoying the hell out of your new shorty 40.Hola boys - just found this thread. I'm in Big Sky then headed north - then headed to Boise, maybe Oregon then potentially Seattle. Ultimately landing back in Ventura in the next month. I can grab it and deliver somewhere along that route.
Nate
I could definitely do this… and then get it moving West? I have a trip to CA next month anyway… or do we want to move it East?Maybe @Honger could meet up with @LandCruiserPhil and retrieve the briefcase from him. They are both in the Phoenix area. It's time to get these out of the garages and back on the road.
I would say a Troopy is more than acceptable, longer 40 and same vintage!I could definitely do this… and then get it moving West? I have a trip to CA next month anyway… or do we want to move it East?
Though my 40 isn’t ready today… have another week or two of buttoning up to do on an oil pan replacement. Is the Troopy an acceptable alternate vehicle?
