I would meet in Tucson if someone would bring it from Phoenix. If someone in Tucson wanted to carry it, I could meet somewhere between Tucson and Silver City. From here I could travel North or East to pass it on.

Not sure what you guys are complaining about I have something like a 400+ mile range 
I can still make it up to Jackson or west Yellowstone and would be pretty happy to bring it down to Albuquerque-ish.

Hola boys - just found this thread. I'm in Big Sky then headed north - then headed to Boise, maybe Oregon then potentially Seattle. Ultimately landing back in Ventura in the next month. I can grab it and deliver somewhere along that route.

Welcome to the 40 family Nate! The baton hand-off is a blast to participate in, definitely get your hands on one of the 3. Sounds like you are enjoying the hell out of your new shorty 40.
Maybe @Honger could meet up with @LandCruiserPhil and retrieve the briefcase from him. They are both in the Phoenix area. It's time to get these out of the garages and back on the road.

Though my 40 isn’t ready today… have another week or two of buttoning up to do on an oil pan replacement. Is the Troopy an acceptable alternate vehicle?
Just need to someone else to step up as the next leg on this journey. If you want to meet in Tucson, I could meet you there. If someone in Tucson wants to get involved, we could make that work. It doesn't matter the direction as long as it is moving again. You could post up on local clubs to see if anyone is interested. I know I have people east and north that I could hand off to.
I would say a Troopy is more than acceptable, longer 40 and same vintage!
I'm in Ontario Oregon and would love to participate or just meet up. If you're headed from Boise to just about anywhere in Oregon you'll come right through here.
If we keep this on top, maybe something will happen. It was a fun time before it became storage instead of a baton!
