@rkymtnflyfisher…I’d meet you in C’da and carry it west if you come across it? Which may take years at this rate to track it down?

Other than at the beginning of this endeavor, it's been "self-coordinating" - one FJ40 owner reaches out to another and a meet-up is arranged:Wiling to participate individually or in a group if this gets going again. Located in South Tx (closest major city is San Antonio). Open to discuss distance and routes to make things work.
So, who’s coordinating now?
I remember that hand off well. Folks around the Santa Fe Plaza where very confused with what we were doing.Other than at the beginning of this endeavor, it's been "self-coordinating" - one FJ40 owner reaches out to another and a meet-up is arranged:

Thanks! Makes sense for it to be self-coordinated. Does anyone know who now has possession and location? I saw this asked a few pages back but not sure the answer was revealed.Other than at the beginning of this endeavor, it's been "self-coordinating" - one FJ40 owner reaches out to another and a meet-up is arranged:

I say we get together and do that trail anyway. That blue leg would be nice for me.It would take longer and more coordination and planning, but the TransAmerica trail would be cool. The route is laid out and each person/team could sign up for a portion and unless you lived close, everyone would have their own small adventure to and from the trail. Just a thought. I'm hoping to do all of it after my baby girl is out of school.View attachment 2759537
Only if there a dirt roads for you!If they every get back towards the Southeast, I'm up for a few hundred miles.
The briefcase case started in ma.IIRC the toolbox in Montana has been up the west coast, but the briefcase hasn't been west of Kanab, UT.
I'd be up for working with the two of you to get it through AZ... a bit of a detour for me but I'd love to take part.Paging @kblomquist, I sent you a PM
I'm willing to work or play with anyone that's able, just trying to establish communication with @kblomquist right now is a priority, does anyone on Mud know him personally? Maybe he doesn't get alerts? I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but the briefcase in my opinion should go full circle back to MA. where the awesome idea started then on to the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum so the inspiration can be shared with more Cruiserheads. Heck, that would make a great Toyota Trails article to read as well. But we got to free the briefcase first.I'd be up for working with the two of you to get it through AZ... a bit of a detour for me but I'd love to take part.
The briefcase took a ride to the trailhead for a hike to this remote arch with a three-FJ40 convoy - all three of us drivers (me, @Reznugget, and @mesa man) have taken part in the expedition, one of us more than onceIIRC the toolbox in Montana has been up the west coast, but the briefcase hasn't been west of Kanab, UT.
