SAS Photo Dump

Work & Life made this a quick event this year. It was a bummer to rush (throwing stuff into the truck the night before at 7pm for a 5am departure). I’ll have to figure out a way to make sure that I don’t do that again.

Rolled the 1200 miles in 2 days. Normally do it in 2.5 which is much more comfortable. If it wasn’t for Hunter being 6 and my phone turning into a mobile hot spot I probably wouldn’t have made it.

None the less he was a champ, we found new Hwys in ID to drive and camp at on the way there and back. But it was mostly interstate there and back. No fun exploration on the way back like normal.

Had trouble with the City Racer desmog routing on the carb.

That photo from the morning was when we pulled over because the truck cut off. We heard a pop and then a slow duck/bird honking sound. I turned to the boy and asked if he made that sound. “He thought we hit a bird and it turned the car off.

After a while we found that the truck would start up. Only thing I found was that the dizzy cap vac hose had come off. I’m not sure if it pressurized to the point it blew off but we left it off and continued on.

Rolled into Montrose and bumped into Zach in the camo 60 w/2uz swap. @Zjohnsonua

We were excited when we arrived because our KOA camp site had some new neighbors. That feeling changed quickly when it started to rain and all the flies moved into the #FitzJ60

Shared a spot with @HemiAlex

We have known each other via mud/Instagram for years and it was nice to actually meet. Would highly recommend in person meeting with Mud people. They are cooler in person.

Alex helped with my crap desmog vac lines and gave a quick carb adjust. Was much better after that.

Best practice is to break down in some scenic spots for everyone to enjoy.

Next day was a zero day.

Hung out in camp and prepped for the Raffle/Vendor stuff for the event.

Light brackets that throw light where you are going. Ditch lights for your knuckles.

Website will go live for these soon. Check out our Instagram for some videos of them in action.

So cool dope you brought your son along for the journey irreplaceable memories for sure.

His first trip to the event was SAS2 in 2018. He was 3! Potty training and road trips are tricky as @gt7058a can attest to.

He definitely enjoys the trip. Need to go on more together.

Yo! Been working a bunch and getting the boy into the first grade (it’s been a bit of a challenge).

Got out with the boys this weekend #cruisercultassemble

Fri night managed a late departure from work and had most of the crew land the spot prior to us getting there.

I have been wanting to explore this spot for years.

Unfortunately it was dark and not the greatest photos.

Thanks for teaching the little nugget how to grind coffee and hit the pour-over, I have higher expectations now than just cereal and cartoons on YouTube in the mornings.

Don’t walk that far from the tent in the middle of the night (@Beerfix why not closer to the edge 😆). Little man climbed that hill with my phone in his pocket and snapped these next shots.

We peeled out the next mid morning and cruised the hills till we hit the lake, followed that south then short interstate for a fuel up.

We let the compass spin to N. & when cell service stopped we kept going to the end of the road. At Salmon La Sac we turned off onto Fortune Creek trail to GallagherHead Lake. Cool trail very fun factor and good for a stock-mildly built rig/s. Open open and 31’s was on one of the rigs. We were in almost dry conditions I can see the difficulty level getting bumped up in wet and really jump up in any snow/ice.

Didn’t get as many pictures as I would have liked for the up or the down the next day.

Kids circumnavigated the lake twice by themselves.

Beautiful spots and looks like y'all do food and coffee nicely. I don't get up into WA to camp as often as I should.
