Good seeing you guys! Impressed my spare flasher relay worked out!

Once you swapped the power/ground on ICS, it started working again correct?
***SPOILER ALERT*** I haven’t gotten to that part of the story. 😂

Bump

How’s Fitz doing?

He’s doing. Waiting in the wings for an LS swap and for me to finish a bunch of things.

California hasn’t been the kindest to him the one trip he has been on while here was out to Death Valley and I drove into a salt flat thinking it was a road in the middle of the night trying to meet up with someone.

I should have immediately washed it off, but didn’t and it really did a number on the truck. Even after a wash with Salt Off.

Death Valley was very cool. I went out and had a 24hr blitz with @Bullzi and his Dad.

I’ve gone out one other time but took the 100 since it is set up for camping a little more.

I’d have to look at a map to figure out what mine this was but it was pretty impressive.

On the last trip I checked out defense mine and that was pretty amazing. Largest mine I have explored.

Spent a little time on the truck today.

Installed a set of 3XM wing windows I’ve had for a number of years. I picked them up used from another Mud member.

Nice to get something out of the garage on onto the truck.

Once I figured out the way they fit 2.5 hours on one side. 1 hour on the second window. Thanks to @xtiaan2000 for the second set of hands and dropping the screws while getting this job done.

tick tok… time to wrench.

30 days to SAS.

Baby steps:

This guy always looked like a dog chewed on it 🤮.

16 years later it had to go. Mainly because the spring shot out of the end of it.

Laid to rest. Good job keeping the car parked the last 43 years.

New hotness. Sorta wished I had done this a long time ago. Also wished I had mounted the center console indexing more toward the passenger side.

Chemo treatment this morning.

Needs more cure time and probably another coat.

Using Corroseal and other than it drying in my hair it has been amazing.

You can tell what areas have been coated if you zoom in on the background photos.

Muffler and diff hasn’t. Leafs and frame where I could reach.

Kinda wish I had sprayed it vs brushed to get into some really tight spots.

Better figure out how to wire this up and find the missing parts.

On the corroseal did you paint it or run it as is? Looks great. One of my favorite threads

Currently running it as is. As in no prep, just paint it on.

Supposed to scuff/wire brush it. Then degrease.

Skipped thet due to time constraints and anything is better than nothing.

Will go over the whole thing properly in the future. Just wished I had done this 2 years ago.

Plan is to corroseal then top coat with rustoleum implement paint.

Frame shot.

Can kinda compare left to right on the front leaf packs here to see treated vs not.

Rust will come back through this. But with the proper prep it is supposed to be a perfect convert and prime in the same application. Then paint over to sealed protection.

Looks great Dave! Excited to see you and Fitz (and hopefully Hunter!) in a few weeks. Excited for you to finally get that locker and long range tank installed. Keep up the good work!

Will see on the tank. Will likely have to do that after just due to changing my mind back to an intank fuel pump.

Selectable locker will change the game up.

H will be there. He is looking forward to it.
