Harrisons came in chevys ... early heaters were clamshell style rounds

They show up on eBay and are very close in look to the denso... as well as Bosch and the Brit stufff like Clayton

That one is most likely 50’s

oh, I’ve got a clamshell. It’s going In my LV.

I only posted the Harrison to show another vintage aftermarket heater.
 
what heater is this? part two

since the other thread is closed, i'll start a new one. assuming it's a heater...haven't really had time to tear into it. since it's a softtop and there are the remains of a fan on the dash, i kind of figure it's not an ac unit;)

Older thread and these posts are old, but my ‘64 FJ40 has the exact same heater. I always thought it was an aftermarket heater, but after seeing these posts I assume this was the stock heater?? It works great, but I’ve been wanting to get a smaller heater bc this one is rather large, but if it is original……

Thats a aftermarket heater.

This is the first Toyota installed heater in FJ40/45s in the USA market, probably the smallest besides the Clam shell heater.
