Pretty much wrapped up! Need fj62 center vents and an ashtray to wrap up the parts list. For those curious, Once I have vents I’ll put a list together of what’s needed for swap, have the list almost complete. The 4500nex is a killer radio so far. Smooth wireless connection.

Awesome job with everything!! Love seeing the transformation. Did you happen to put together a list of the parts required to do the change over to the 62 dash, not sure if I missed it? Any regrets on switching? My '84 dash has seen better days, might even be cheaper than trying to find a 60 dash in good shape.

Thanks, Jeff

Thanks Jeff! To date - I only grow to love it! Swap has been great, gained a lot of benefits that I had been yearning for. Here's a thread I put together on what I used.

Thanks for pointing me to the thread, somehow I missed it in my search. I really like the 62 dash and FJ62 in general, I had 2 of them (62). I should have just gotten another 62 instead of a 60, but I got what was available. Anyone want to trade a 60 for a 62? If I could find a nice 60 dash I might just stick with it, but we'll see. Great job again, it looks awesome!!

Thank you! There are a lot of good things in a 62, too bad we didn't get that truck here in the states as a 4/5spd without fuel injection.

So life has been anything but quiet like the thread seems. I moved back to Ventura from San Diego, put my two weeks in with my job with no real plans beyond it and bought a 40. With all these changes....I've decided that it is time sell the 60. If anyone is seriously interested, let me know. Otherwise I will be contemplating how I want to sell it, as-is or resmogged with a/c. Ideally sell the truck as-is and let the buyer decide since I have all the oem parts.

Here is the 40 though, generally complete and needs lots of love, but it transported me from Wyoming to Southern California without any hiccups. Time to brighten another truck :)

Dang, breaks my heart to hear that, but I get it. What an incredible truck for someone to scoop up. You've done an incredible job baselining it, and setting it up for years of reliable service. I'll ask around here in UT! Also, link to the 40 build thread? ;)

Glad you are ruminating on the next phase of your life. Few do get the chance to do so. Glad a 40 is part of that. Wonderful 60. Someone will inherit a great rig. GLWS. If was an addict, I would add this one. 🤣

Dude you should keep the 60 if it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility to keep both. I was always a die hard 40 guy but with a growing family the 60 just makes more sense at the moment. That being said, I'd never part with my 40 either.

No 40 thread yet - haven't really had the mental bandwidth to sit down after work yet and put one together. Ideally in the next few weeks I will get it goin. Already put an order in for a batch of little things I found while sitting in the drivers seat for 16 or 18 hours.

Wow! That is great. Extremely sorry to see you even thinking of getting rid of your 60 tho. I think it is one of the finest 60’s around that actually gets wheeled.👍

But...also a nice looking 40 there.💸💵

Thanks John! If I can figure out a way to keep it, I will. Put it in a warm bubble that is climate controlled and humidity free.

I had planned to stop by in the 40 on my way through the Eastern Sierras but ended up taking the faster route to get back for work.

Sorry to have missed ya. Next time.🎯

BAT???

Man, say it isn't so. This has been one of the more informative threads on here. Sorry to see it end. Been a nice adventure to follow along with. Thanks for it all. Congrats on the 40 purchase. Lucky truck. That one is now in good hands. GL.
