Have found someone to clean the injectors, sounds like right thing to do.

10 micron filters ordered and fuel pressure tester on its way.

Finding a shop to clean tank has been tough. Two folks I’ve called have retired. One said don’t have it boiled, steam clean it. After five calls I found Hispanic gentleman who said he could boil it.

My question, is this adequate or should I keep looking?

You just need to be sure the outlet coming out of the tank (the supply line, not the return) is clear. Emphasize that to whoever cleans it.
It’s actually a long tube that runs down to the bottom of the tank to a small depression near the center. They need to be able to get something through it, like Jim mentioned, a speedometer cable or something similar. If that tube is plugged off, a regular tank cleaning won’t fix it. We’ve seen this happen several times now.

String trimmer line might be an adequate substitute. Just a suggestion. Obviously if it's clear the line should go through without issue. Might not be strong enough to dislodge a blockage though.

I would take a look inside first, if it's that bad I don't know that I would bother spending the time and money on an old steel tank. If its bad enough for you to pull it out then good chance it's not far away from rusted through and ready to leak anyway.
Amazon has cellphone endoscope cameras for $20 or so, get one and snake it into the filler neck and take a good look in the tank and go from there, like Rush said confirm the fuel pickup tube is clear and let the filters do their job.

Some more reading on the subject of pickup tubes.

I was going to say - use some weed whip line!

Except we need the pictures of the bottom…

(Is it time to queue up Fat Bottom Girls?)

I’m so sorry Jon, all I do is derail your thread!
No problem TJ, you can queue up Fat Bottom girls anytime. One of my favorites!!
