Update on the ashtray replacement

This one looks awesome. Seems like a way better use of space, I never use that ashtray. The switches in this could be a good spot for an AHC override switch since it would be close to the AHC. This is one that I would get a scangauge for.

Are the current wires long enough for an easy CLD/hazard relocation? and then put a ball mount or whatever in the CDL/hazard spot? I like it!

Not long enough. I will provide an extension cable.

That was a very early prototype. I am open to comments and suggestions. Let me know what you think and what you want to put in there, like switches, gauges?

I suggest recessing the charger enough that phones don't slide around much while charging.

Update on the ashtray replacement

Curious to see a fitment shot once you get one printed. It looks like the lower portion sticks out further to provide room for mounting switches and the scan gauge. I have a controller for my light bar mounted just underneath the ash tray and thinking this would interfere. Maybe you could print a custom make that would have a spot for the light bar controller and still fit the scan gauge?

I think you should just print replacement covers for the common rocker style switch.

Hey @BenCC, what about locating the seat heater switches in the new console lid, then making a wireless charging platform that snaps into the original switch location? It would probably be easier to see from the natural driving position.

Hey @BenCC - if you could / wanted to integrate a switch pros 9100 into that slot it would be pretty cool. I personally am going to run a switch pro for a bunch of switches. Its super clean. I'll be your guinea pig if you want.

That being said, I was planning on running a scangauge + Switch + bluetooth mic up there if you are still offering that, LOL. So many options Ben! You're killing it!

Really like this idea. My current truck has my ham radio head mounted on the ashtray, but I'd prefer a switch and constant power USB port there. I'd like to move the ham radio head to the overhead console. Any thoughts on making a universal mount for something like that? Send me your radio...

Right in this area. There is no space to fit a rocker switch with a tilt angle for better visibility on the small opening overhead console. It seems the small opening can barely fit a rocker switch vertically.

No. It was not mine. Someone mailed the switch pros to me to make the mount.

Before I order I need to nail down what I am going to do with the switchpros. Thats the most important mod to be honest. I didnt spend all this money on lockers not to be able to turn them on! So if you have any insight into your thoughts about integrating one into the ashtray, that would be sweet!

Great news that the Ashtray Replacement Mod is in design phase @BenCC , you are a legend! Since I have a RHD LC (Aussie) my preference would be for the 12V Aux and the USB ports to be on the left and have a series of OEM vertical switch slots to the right of that. That would be my Gold Standard solution,. If that is not achievable, could live with 12V Aux and the USB on the right and a series of OEM vertical switch slots to the left of that. I don't have a Scanguage.
