Roosevelt T replied to the thread Middle Row Seat Bolt P/N? Anyone?.
Great info, thanks - finding these on partsouq was a a PITA. You dont happen to know what the specs of that bolt are, do you? I was googling for confirmation before I re-tap mine, but not finding any info. Thanks!

Easy job, but made easier with your thread - thanks @flintknapper! Also - for those that arent getting fuel but tried swapping their fuse and dont have an immobilizer issue, I'd try replacing this. Made sense that this was the issue to me, but...

You may have missed the part about the OP having access to a CNC table. The cost of an SS1 is all on the intricacies of the design, not the materials and parts list. With any decent level of skill to operate a CNC table he can himself build a...

Yeah, I wasn’t being serious. Well maybe like 15% serious, because OP implied he had fabricating experience and tools and that money was not an issue.

No worries, the joke was obvious. "SAS it!" it kind of its own joke, for all the reasons you mention.

Zuk has a stellar reputation. Note that he only installs E-lockers now- (no air lockers )

Zuk is awesome. He's local to me and is a good guy. Extremely meticulous, which is probably obvious from his website haha. He did air lockers for me, but this was about a yr ago... Im not surprised as he preferred E-lockers at the time...

Even the guys with well engineered SAS's on this board (so you're actually getting a huge increase in travel and it's better front end than the 80 series)... A number of people you can count on one hand... Will publicly say it's a huge...

For 2-3k I'd personally get a made in America monotube, rebuildable, 2.5" remote reservoir shock. Tbh it's not a popular option on this board and most people go cheaper. Which I understand but it's not what I'd do.

Roosevelt T replied to the thread Skid plate buy? split on shipping? Kentucky.
Dissent is 14-16 weeks out on everything, at least when I ordered 4-6 weeks ago. Their shipping isn't cheap either... But it's freight so you can combine shipping. I bought another swing arm :D. ASFIR shipping was expensive earlier this year...

@2001LC and the rest of you who commented lately - thanks for bringing this thread to the top. For whatever reason, and despite this being part of my normal baselining on every vehicle I buy, I never changed the plugs on teh LX when I bought it...

I misread the question, my apologies. I was reading it quickly and for some reason thought he was asking about the uncovered cylinder while driving. I greased the s*** out of the spark plug thread chaser when chasing the threads, and my...

It ran fine, albeit down on power (obviously, haha). I cannot say which would be better - tbh i would have kept the coil in if possible - but i tried chasing the threads to install a new one and I still couldnt get it to thread. Unless I was...

Zero issues, just letting you know. Theres still a bunch of people on the forum that would prefer to get OEM ones from Toyota that haven't been refurbished, and the prices are going way up.

Agreed. I'm the only one who has ever worked on my 100 series since I've owned it... But this is a one chance to get it right job. I have a buddy who owns a shop locally, and let him do it instead since he has a bunch of experience doing them...

If you're messing with the head ($$) and you're not sure what you're doing, I'd have someone that does do the work.

Not to be pedantic... But the cylinder still has compression, so you're hearing that, it's not really a "knock"... It's not an issue. Unplug the injector next time as well, or you could burn out your cat.

Roosevelt T replied to the thread Blew #5 Spark Plug in my 2004 Land Cruiser ....
Yep that's it. Well, it wasnt knocking anymore because I pulled the plug and disconnected the injector. So there was no combustion going on in that cylinder, hence why I was on 7 cylinders. It's not optimal but it's safe. Driving with it the...

Someone doesn't understand that if you are wheeling trails that will challenge a SAS 100 on 40s there is a really good chance you will total your rig. Actually not an if but a when.
