Could you report back any differences that you can feel with the smaller pulley. I know it's subjective but any thoughts would be appreciated.
Definitely a difference, I like! I am having trouble launching from stopped still, but I downloaded the car performance app. and got one good run this morning. 8.796 zero to 60! My later tries with video were terrible from losing time launching.

This is, I believe, identical to the one I bought. The mount fits our setup but we only use the top vacuum port. The bottom one just gets left open. I'll put up a screen shot of the one I got.

As far as the vacuim hose, I stole a chunk from my 70 SS Chevelle that's undergoing a rebuild - robbed Peter to pay Paul, so to speak:D

Here's the one I bought.

Tons of awesome stuff in this thread! I wish I could do 10% of the stuff you have done. Great looking rig.

What headlights and tail lights did you use?
Thanks! A lot of high dollar work was done (then abused) before I bought it. I just figured vision and elbow grease was more affordable for me than money. Only problem is, I have wound up putting a lot more $$ in it because I love the truck!

The tail lights are ebay clear lens with led bulbs. Front corners and turns are ebay depo clears. Headlights are also depo's from ebay (with glass lenses). My bulbs are led's which I like but have some bugs to work out.

Thanks for the info!

I will have to look more into LEDs as well.
There are some pretty good threads to search on Depos. If you want to go the extra mile, you can have them fitted with projectors, more money but they look/work sweet.

The gauge is going to come in really handy!! The quick little runs are good, the cool part will be when you are holding 65-70mph going up a long hill.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to what I can learn from it.

Hello Dogfish!!!!!!!! just read this whole thread. Lots of great info and pics. Very helpful considering I am looking at a very similar build over the next few months....... I am wondering what kit you went with on your water meth injection?? I went with the Snow performance stage 2 kit. I will also be using the ARP studs but think I will go with the Cometic gasket. I am wondering if you have any more updates or info now that you have had some time with the truck?? Any other problems or issues?? Any more info on temps using the intercooler??? I live in California and am hoping that just the water meth kit will be enough and that I wont have to mess with intercooling or the like. Also I wanted to know if powder coating your supercharger components also helps them stay cooler at all??

Thanks for any and all info and Happy New Year to ya!!!!!!!!!

@70Cruza , thanks for the kind words. I used the Snow performance kit too, the one that takes the signal from the MAF. There is a great thread posted by @murf on his system that helped me very much. The meth injection before the supercharger works great, and while I have never put a temp guage on the supercharger itself, I can say that before the meth injection, you could not put a hand on it after running on a warm day, and now it is no problem. I did some research and it all pointed to putting the injection nozzle before the SC to help cool it and it will cause no issues. Final thumbs up for me was Snow's own engineer telling me it was the way to go.

As far as coating the main body black, it has worked well. I went on the theory of color on a radiant body. Black absorbs more heat as we know but it also radiates more readily than a lighter color, so I decided on black over a lighter color like silver. The charger was originally powder coated from Magnusson, at least the first gen I have was. The finish on the main part was in rough shape, likely that the deterioration was assisted by excessive heat

I really think that the methanol injection alone would be great. I only have this setup because I already had the intercooler.

The Cometic gasket seems the way to go as long as the deck surface gets proper machining. The gasket is possibly overkill but that's a good thing too. If I had done a full rebuild that would be my approach. As a matter of fact, I have a spare 1fz-fe and it will get a rebuild at some point and will get the machine work done for the Cometic gasket. When that can of worms opens, a turbo really needs to happen:grinpimp:

Awesome!, good to hear. Thanks for the reply and info. I have the same older Kazuma Supercharger n a semi fresh 1FZ that I got from Suhag who got it from @CycloSteve

So have you experienced any other issues or problems with the whole setup?? Hows your coolant temps??

If turbo was an option in Cali i probably would have gone that route.......maybe someday....!!! .

THANKS again for taking the time to write and share such a great thread.

great thread DFL! I am glad you like your Snow Meth system and that my thread was able to at least help a little ~

It's a great thread. Anyone considering methanol injection should read it. AND anyone with a supercharger or turbo should seriously consider methanol injection.

I did have some issues with temps early on. Nothing major but running 75 on the expressway in the summer with ac on it would get to like 206° and I'd back off and it'd come down. I put in a new koyorad radiator, oem cap, and most importantly the @landtank orange fan clutch (now a Wits End product i believe) and i have yet to see it hit 200°. Am amazing mod IMO

Forgot to mention, the orange clutch has the heavier fluid, and allows you to punt that crappy ringed fan
