The little receiver tube on the swingarm is for a bike rack. I'm now riding a 29er MTB and need to buy a platform style rack. My Thule one was way too tall when I installed it. I figured I could mount it on the arm and swing it out of the way if I need to get to the back of the truck.

Dave... I run a Thule T2 tray (one bike) clamped down to a 2' of aluminum 2"x2".
Lightest set up without braking the bank.... T2 trays can be had for cheap on CL......
Set up looks great !!!

BTW... like the cam bolt at the top....!!!

@MANUCHAO LOL! Look who's truck is my computer background!

I couldn't find any Thule T2 trays, but I did find this rack. It will work for now until I can find a lighter one like Manu's.

Had a great ride this evening!

It makes me want to get my mountain bike back in action but I would puke after a mile. I’m way out of shape.

Next week. I almost promise.

Dammit, why do i suddenly live so far from this. I need to find a job in Austin again. Been needing riding buddies.

There’s just something about Texas that doesn’t appeal to me, is too big to be so damn flat. Now I know you Texans love your state. I know there are Mtns in the SW corner, I guess that’s where I would live if I lived in Texas.

Oregon is pretty. But I suspect the winters will aggravate old wounds for me. It's why I moved back to Texas from D.C. well that and cause D.C. sucks.

I'd take Oregon over Texas any day. The wife and I plan to flee once kids are out of the house. Colorado is #1 on the list and Oregon is #2 right now. I can't take the brutal summers anymore.

Wait, you can't stand the brutal summers but you choose to not use/install AC in your truck!?
Yup. I consider it prepping to live somewhere conditioned air is not needed. ;)

Calirado is #1 on pretty much everyones list. :( Man has our state been messed up. Rant off, there are some still really cool places there that haven't been overrun.
