I'm very happy with the driveshaft hardware I bought from Marlin Crawler. They are specialty fasteners for sure.

Your rear shackles are on backwards

so the anti-inversion pin goes towards the rear bumper then? I've searched and read some posts on it and there was no consensus.
Post a better picture of them. I might have been wrong.
The anti inversion pin goes towards the front of the truck and is closer to the frame.

So I am running into an issue, the front leaf springs are flexing significantly more than the rear. They are old. I’m going to replace them with Alcans. That is decided. My question is: when I did my shackle reversal I put the center of the mounting holes 40 1/2 inches apart. Is that my issue or is it just wore out springs. If the space is to small can I have Alcan shorten the springs to fix the issue?

If my questions don’t make sense let me know. I will provide a picture to show how flat they are, and in the picture I’m not even sitting level with how the rear is sitting.

Those springs look fine, your mounts are just too far forwards.
I would move them back maybe 1.5-2”, however much you need to to get ~45* shackle angle. I’d get a shorter shackle and put bump stops in to prevent inverting the springs. Cut down those U-bolts too.

yea the U-bolts will get cut, I just ran out of daylight tonight. The rear mounts on the front springs are fully welded is the issue, I definitely measured wrong. If I can solve It with shorter leaf springs then I was leaning that way since Alcan will be custom making them anyway. Curious on everyone’s thoughts.

That should teach you not to just completely weld everything before you know it’s right.
You don’t need new springs. Just suck it up and move those mounts.

When mine were setup just tack welded 4spots and put weight on the springs to find the shackle angle at ride height. Mine ended up being 40 degrees.
It’s amazing how strong even tack welds are.

Well yea, but I had to have someone come out and weld for me! It seems I got lucky that my pinion angle is correct

I agree with @cruisermatt and use your springs.
You can use a cut off disc and just cut those welds, with metal it’s not the end of the world to cut and reweld. Just tack it next time and test.
