Yea those mounts are fully welded, I was using a real s***ty MiG welder previously to tack and then I hired someone come weld fully. The tacks kept failing and I needed to set the pinion so I just (wrongfully) went for it.Move the mounts have you fully welded everything?
Would you go wire feeding over a stick welder for this use? The goal would be something I can weld up bumpers and sliders with in the future.Wire feeding needs a shielding gas. I run 75%argon and 25%CO2.
I stick weld at work on well casing all the time. Stick welding has more slag as pieces shoot off everywhere. Wire feeding is your friend. Stick takes time to master and depending on the rod size and heat you could burn through just about anything, frame included.Would you go wire feeding over a stick welder for this use? The goal would be something I can weld up bumpers and sliders with in the future.
So I’d like to get my own MiG machine what are some recommendations?
