Please stop using these kind of bolts and shackles.

They are always….always frozen solid. Had to burn out the top bolts.

But I won.

just get the cuttin wheel, you are not using that stuff anyway. Fun to watch tho. The underside of that truck looks clean.

Yeah man. Thanks. I don’t have much experience doing this kind of work. I am glad you weighed in.

Oh wait ……

I don’t know. Maybe I need more practice.

I need to step up my game. I should be able to do way more than this so I don’t forget how to do it.

Thanks for stepping up and pointing that out @peesalot

Yea after all those pics, you probably need more experience. I have a 55 that could help you gain some experience, and …
I swore off Pigs but for you I’d make an exception

I love your comments @wngrog
I am guessing you and me would get along great 👍

About the same level of crusty
I can tell based on that perfectly manicured hand in the above

I’ve followed many of your builds here
But that dark/rootbeer brown 60 is particularly tasty..
I haven’t owned a 6x yet amongst the others I have or have owned…

If you get bored can you post a link to that one?

Trying to sell my “Red” on a 6x purchase
28 years in she knows my weaknesses but pic heavy build threads always help

Sorry for the hijack

This one?

Cranky ass midget. And if you already knew why hit it with the impact ? Go back to bed and get up on the other side.

Oh and those bolts you hate, what are they just too short ? , wrong size ? , wrong plating ? which bolts would be appropriate.

They are not greasable and are always frozen solid.

They are always a bit too big for the bushing so they are already starting off on the wrong foot.

Also they don’t have a shoulder that keeps people from over tightening

If you need bigger shackles Man A Fre makes oversized ones that are designed properly with the correct pin size and shoulders.

On this episode of “please don’t do this to your Land Cruiser”

If you have these chrome caps on your truck you should take them off. Well, unless you can’t which is the case with these. They had to be cut off.

Next, if you have one of these on your truck to fix some sort of steering issue then correct the steering issue and toss this piece of s*** in the trash.

This truck was very hard to steer. I suspected this or the center arm and it was mostly this. This thing was all jammed up. Going back with a Dobinsons in the stock location

And finally, these cavities are for grease. This is the first one I’ve ever opened up that basically has no grease. I know there are schools of thought on how much grease. I’m in the pack it full camp. Never seen the argument for no grease though.

I got one side all torn down and decided I needed to take advantage of the conditions and burn off some massive piles of leaves we’ve made lately. Back on Whitey tomorrow and through the weekend. Parts are starting to land
