I am interested in an FJ60 with manual transmission in Southern California (located in South OC).
I have a 1985 FJ60, manual, lifted, original body that needs some love. It is non-op right now but engine roars. New rebuilt engine dropped in about 6 years ago and was my husband's commuter until last October. Interior in decent shape (original), driver seat could be swapped out. Custom grill guard. This was my dad's and we don't have the time or cash flow to give it what it needs. Breaks my heart to see it go but it's the right thing to do. Needs a new tire, needs to be smogged and anyone interested needs to bring their own tow truck. Will send photos upon request. Asking $3000 which is a deal considering the potential.

Because I am moving to Hawaii and do not want to ship it, I am selling my beautifully restored 2 owner, low mileage 1983 FJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser. Was bought new in Kodiak Alaska in 1983 and then garage kept in Washington State by its sole owner prior to me purchasing it earlier this year and moving it to New Jersey. I love this vehicle and I’ve spent a lot to bring it back to its original condition, but I do not have the heart to ship it to Hawaii when I move, knowing that the weather there is able to rust anything, no matter how well you keep it.

Spotted this one while doing a blanket search of craigslist. Guy is asking $1000 for a non runner but it looks like it would be a good parts donor. if the front bumpter is not rusty or smashed up it would be worth it alone as I recall those are pretty pricey.

With a big ache in my heart I am selling my beloved Land Cruiser. I bought this truck to fix it up and drive it down all the way to Patagonia.
Plans have changed and now I am moving to Kenya and unfortunately LHD vehicles have been outlawed there (they drive on the left like the Brits).
This Cruiser is originally a gas vehicle (FJ60) from California. A guy in Oregon bought it and also bought a BJ60 in Canada and swapped it's 3B diesel engine and 5-speed transmission into the FJ60. He also added a CT-26 Toyota turbo to the truck for extra power. The truck has a 5 inch body lift, 33 BFG tires and custom bumper and bull bar + badlands winch + fog lights. It easily does 21 miles / gallon highway and backcountry driving combined.

After a year of searching, I was finally able to land a low mileage 100 series 04' and it's been my DD for the past 6 glorious months. The itch is back to try something older, and even before the 100 series, the 62 has always been of interest to me. So with this post I am trying to avoid the pain of the long search, in hopes there are still a few 62s out there with owners that are not overly money thirsty.
While I'm in Norcal, i dont need the vehicle to be local (though obviously preferred). What I am hoping to find is something with less than 125K original miles, zero rust, and very good interior. I'm less picky on the particulars otherwise (i.e. minor dings are expected/some fading paint/minor maintenance/etc)...
My wife and I are debating about selling our recently acquired 1988 FJ62 that I spent the summer working on and enjoying. The reason is it doesn't fit the car seats well and some plans maybe in motion where something else would be a better choice.

I have a very unique 1989 fj62 that has been totally redone, all the way from the GM Corvette motor to new interior and paint And suspension front and rear bumpers sliders roof rack. Most of the work was done by man-a-fee and over $75,000 was put into the truck. I have documentation on almost everything and It's been over 6000 miles that Have been put on the truck since the transplant.
I am looking to sell or trade the vehicle and any help with pricing or where to start would be appreciated.
BTW, I have owned more than 10 Land Cruisers and this is by far the most fun of any of them

I found it in New Mexico and brought it east to SC. I took it to Marshall at Trollhole's Cruisers @Trollhole and he put a new aluminum radiator in it and did some other baselining maintenance. Its a cream puff and I hate to see it leave the family. Still has the "American Toyota" dealer sticker on the tailgate from new. Stock except for the OME lift, radio and tint. It had the lift on it when I got it, with original wheels and 33x10.50 BFG AT KOs. Very reliable daily driver. No breakdowns or repairs during my ownership only maintenance. Swapped in a new H55 to replace the aging A440 auto. Frigid R12 AC system (easily survive 100°+ humid summers).
The Bad:
Paint is faded on the hood, rock chips on lower valance, multiple trail dings. Previous owner repaired rust on passenger rear quarter and front fender then covered with herculiner in 2008. Body is solid.

looking for a clean FJ62 that will definitely pass smog in CA, maybe use as a daily driver. (I suppose I'd consider buying outside of CA but I've read some pretty strongly worded posts around here suggesting that if you live in CA, buy a CA truck...) I'm not interested in a project at the moment, just something to enjoy with the family, take off road once in a while, and generally drive around town. The ideal truck would be rust-free (or close to it), less than 200k miles, no major mechanical issues.
