184K on it, runs great. Interior OK, body OK. Has normal to just less than normal rust.Many new parts and well maintained. The tranny has 132K on it. Rebuilt TC, new shocks, sway bar links, newer brakes, fuel system. Everything works.
I should keep it but I like my wife more than the truck.

Well the time has come to put my 1985 FJ60 up for sale. A friend is selling his 86 that I've had my eye on for a while so I need to find mine a new home.
I bought the truck a year ago in Cal. where it had spent it's intire life. I flew down and drove it up 1200 miles with no problems at all. It's been a great truck and has been my daily driver. Like I said, it's a 85 w/ 190K miles. Tan with tan/brown interior. New starter, new rear drive line, plugs, wires, cap & rotor. Wheels and tires are in great shape. 31x10.5 Goodyear Wrangler's with 65% tread left. Interior is in good shape. I bought new Tuff Duck seat covers from SOR to cover up the front seats- they were quite worn. The back bench is it good shape. The rear storage...

1987 FJ60, completely stock except for tinted windows
dark tan color, 141,000 miles
engine runs very well, no oil leaks, very clean engine compartment
brakes and clutch work great
interior is clean overall, all dash gauges and lights work, small rip in driver's seat, some light stains on driver's seat/floor. A/C is not working, have not diagnosed problem.
frame/underside is rust-free, no dents in any body panels (except one small one in rear corner
next to tailgate), paint is good condition (except where noted below)
small rust spots on bottom rear of front fenders
quarter-sized rust spot on passenger door (surface only, easily fixed)

Our truck body was restored about 7 years ago and it's in pretty good shape. Truck runs and looks great.
Also fitted with a Fairey overdrive which is a gas to drive coupled with the 5 speed manual transmission.

1984 FJ60 For Sale
This beautiful rig has been set up for expedition style wheeling and has been used as such for the last 5 years through out the southwest US. Hate to sell, but need to finance an FJ80 project.
Particulars:
1996 four bolt-main GM throttle body injected 350 V8. This is not an LT-1or Corvette engine better suited for the drag strip. This is a strong, low end torque engine that came from a 1 ton G-van that is perfect for off-road lugging. It will also cruise at 80 all day on the freeway. The engine had 1600 (yes, sixteen hundred) miles from the factory. Swap has about 25,000 miles now.
NV4500 5-speed, installed as new. 5.61:1 first gear, all syncro.

Red, 83 FJ60, 125k on truck and about 8000 on new Toyota engine. The guy that I bought it from had the engine put in. The truck has some rust, basic driver side seat tear, in general it's in decent condition, and the engine runs strong. The carb was rebuilt a few months ago. $5500 obo.

I am selling my rust free 87 cruiser. It is in great condition and has none of the rust that is sometimes common. I just moved here from Colorado so it is a Colorado cruiser which is why it is not rusted. It runs great and I just did a compression test and every thing was between 150 and 155psi. It has 203k and a very long list of upgrades. They are:

1983 FJ60. Tan with brown interior, desmogged, Weber carb, header, Flowmaster muffler. 1.5 year old 3" BDS lift, extended greasable shackles, almost brand new 33" Goodyear MTR's, ARB front winch bumper - no winch. Lock-Rite in the rear. Engine is not original. Engine is an ’83 2F, has about 120K on it, about 200k on truck. New windshield. AC has been removed from under the hood. Can give you the parts if you want. Interior is in pretty good shape, small dash board crack but I have one of those plastic dash covers over it, that if you take the time to install it right, looks pretty good. People don’t even notice. Custom from console, similar to Tuffy, but built myself instead.

White 87 fj60 125,000 miles on the chassis an EFI ford 302 was put in by the previous owner at 100,000 miles. It has the usual midwest rust on the body, mainly surface rust. The interior is decent. I'm in the market for a 100% rust free FJ60 LC, preferably an 85-87, with less than 200K miles, and any color other than white. I live in Alaska, but will be taking leave in a few weeks to Washington State, were I'm willing to drive to basically any state west of the Rockies (Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, etc, etc.)
The accounting department (the wife) says my budget is $9K or less.
