I'm selling my 1987 FJ60 cruiser. It does not run and has alot of rust in the back above the windows on both sides. I had the motor rebuilt about 3yrs ago but I was told it will need an exhaust manifold to run. I have all reciepts from the previous owner and myself. The cruiser would by a great starting point for a project or just use for parts. I wish I had the time and money to fix it myself but new child forces sell. Selling my 1988 fj62. Two tone blue all power options, approx 156,000 miles. I installed a new windshield, new Pro Comp wheels, West Texas ofroad rebuilt steering box. My name is Judy and I hate to do this, but I have to sell my '87 FJ60. This is my first car and I love it. I've had it for 5 years and bought it from the original owner who used it as a ranch vehicle. I never knew the fun of off roading (I grew up in the big city) until I met my fiance and had no idea how good my stock Cruiser was at it.
Family issues are forcing me to sell my Cruiser because I can't fix it up the way I want. It only has 20k on a rebuild by the original owner. I have a 1985 FJ60 that needs an engine rebuild, or a new engine. The 2F has about 180,000 miles on it before something went kaboom inside, most likely a crankshaft bearing. Had a mechanic look at it and was told could replace them, but most likely do it again after 1000 miles or so. So it probably needs a complete rebuild or new engine swap or whatever tickles your fancy.
Overall the vehicle is in very good condition, 2 tone FJ62 style paint job, very little rust so the body is in great shop, 32x11.50 BFG All-Terrains about 65% worn, stock rims, no lift etc. Power Steering works great, no AC but I do have a compressor that I bought off eBay, whether it works or not on the swap I don't know. Carb is a new rebuilt with maybe 3K miles...

This a great running truck. the body is in pretty good shape, but it is not cherry. It has the some usual small rust spots here and there. I cut out and fixed the metal behind the rear wheels. the paint is a 15 footer.
Interior is really nice. the seat on the drivers side has been repaired, but looks nice. Carpet, dash and Seats all in good shape. the hinge on the center console is broken so the top comes right off. I was planning on a new one. the carpet has been removed from the back hatch and I replaced it with a cut piece of truck mat. the talgate is rough, but closes with a slam and the top hatch works well.
The Truck rolls down the road comfortably. A/C is ice cold. the rear seat...

*HAS BEEN SOLD* 1983 BJ60 4x4, 3B diesel engine, 5 speed, factory air. 358,000 kms.
Brown exterior, brown/tan interior. Pretty much dead stock. Nice and clean, runs well, no major rattles or squeaks. Glass is perfect. Approx. 2000 kms on full set of Michelin LTX A/T tires (including spare.) Body is decent - some rust, has a small ding in the rear gate otherwise no dents.
Stuff I haven't found time to fix yet:
- Front engine seal is leaking, drips a bit of oil.
- Rear wiper / washer not working.
- Torn upholstery on outside edge of driver's seat (the usual...)

Called the guy and he say's it's an 83-4 (he's selling it for someone else), has 164,400 miles and the guys asking $5500.00 for it.

Up for sale is a very rusty, 1987 FJ60 153000 miles. Truck is located in the Atlanta area on the north side. Bronze with gray interior, except for the drivers seat which the previous owner replaced it with a tan one. The interior is pretty clean and in good condition, one small crack on te dash. Everything works except for the a/c. All of the interior/exterior lights and electronic accessories work. The side marker light lenses need to be replaced but the lights do work. It is missing the license plate bezel so the license plate light is disconnected.

Excellent Condition 83 FJ60, brown with tan interior, 195,000 miles but was restored with rebuilt motor, 5 speed transmission, new interior and headliner (aftermarket tastefully done), new paint and wheels, new brakes and cooling system. Recently rebuilt the rear axle, all bearings, and replaced tires 31". Runs extremely well, cold A/C. Have driven it 500 miles per week for the past 6 monthes with no problems. Only rust is a quarter size spot on rear fender well. Only problems are the rear main leaks slightly, the front axle seeps at the knuckles, and the rear window washer does not work . This is a great vehicle! It's in very good shape and has relatively few miles for a 60.
The specs:

I had all of the fluids changed recently including the transmission and differentials. Also had the valves adjusted and generally got everything running properly. All the service has been done professionally. The only major item left is the exhaust system which is a little noisy but tolerable. I've been driving this vehicle daily for the last couple of months.
The only rust is some surface stuff on the roof. The clear coat is peeling in a few spots but the paint is in good shape otherwise. Everything is solid underneath.

Selling an 88 FJ62 in northeast PA. This is a reliable truck, I have had it for a few months, fixed some minor items on it and have been just plain driving it. Had some rust that the previous owner fixed half-assed but doesn't look bad. This thing is PA inspected until November of 2007 and also passed smog at the same time. Glass is all good, body not bad looking. Mileage 270K!!!!! But- engine starts right away, idles perfectly, and runs strong. Transmission shifts perfectly and doesn not slip at all.
