I decided I need to sell the 1984 FJ60 that I have been working on the past couple of years. I’m moving across the country and won’t have a place for it for several months after the move. I’m in the middle of fixing a timing plate gasket oil leak (that is why the grill, headlights, etc are off in some of the photos but I do have these parts not shown). I should be done with this replacement within the next couple of weeks.

1989 FJ62 Toyota Land Cruiser, 169k miles, always lived in Atlanta, GA area. 3rd owner and have owned it since March 2012. Clean title, pristine interior, A/C blows cold, no rust whatsoever, never been in an accident, never been off-road, no mods other than an updated center console and roof rack. I purchased this 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 in 2016 in Georgia, and it has remained in Georgia ever since. My initial goal was to have a fun project car, so I dove into upgrading and improving its performance right away.
One of the first things I did was desmog the 60, removing unnecessary smog equipment and rerouting all vacuum lines with new ones. I also sent the distributor to the well-known “Jim C” for his recurve service and replaced the distributor cap and wires. Since the distributor was being worked on, I decided to have Jim rebuild the carburetor as well.

The truck had 146K~ miles on the clock when I got it. The original 6 cylinder was DOA, so ACC Garage in Atlanta performed the swap of an LS V8 and 4 speed automatic. The engine and trans are a drop-out (taken from another vehicle) LY6 6.0 liter Vortec V8 and matching 4L85e 4 speed trans from a 2008 GMC truck which had 61,000 miles on it. ACC garage retained as much factory OEM Toyota stuff as possible, custom fabricated a ton of stuff, powder-coated everything that was metal - including the OEM air intake. Installed a Lokar 4 speed shifter. They also did all the necessary maintenance - brakes, front/rear diff service, Birfield's rebullt, transfer case
