Same here. 3-row would be impossible for us too. 2row was already very tight. That digital rear view mirror is a must. Do you mean the tailgate is made of aluminum? How can you tell?

haha well our fancy Search and Rescue magnet decals wouldn't stick so I did some googling with "300 series Land Cruiser aluminum tail gate" and I think that is true for the LX 700. This was the first call out for my wife since getting the LX.

I believe the most of the skin is aluminum including hood, roof, door, hatch is all aluminum unlike the gx which is only the hood is aluminum. Wish they kept all steel as i believe its a lot easier to work with when needing body repairs.

Yep. Trade off is weight and rust.

I was particularly interested in close up photos of how the mount to the flush rails. Do they use rubber padding and do they clamp so hard that they could damage the rails?
Mount is super secure and the fit kit provides a hard rubber interface - havent needed to tighten after a few runs with surfboards at speed. They provided a torque limited install tool.... Very quiet for a rack, even at speed.... extra space up top afforded is material and no risk of stabbing your head :-) Listed my rhino rack for sale as an indication of my appreciation for this system so far. @26LX600

Now to get a rig'd hitch mount for fuel and tire storage on adventures / trips!

I second that @KilaCruiser, and additional input for @26LX600 - I have the same set-up and very solid. Much quieter than the factory bars, and have moved them around a few times to work with a Yakima Roof Box - no damage to the rails and zero movement (I marked to be able to go back and forth) over 6K miles.

And I have a lead foot. One of the more solid setups and I've gone through them all - Thule, Yakima, Rhino, etc. No regrets

If you see Dirty Jersey "dehydrated urine yellow" license plates bopping around next month, give a wave :-)

Thank you as well. I ended up ordering the Thule Wing edge that has the flush end mount. Will report back!

Just got my LX700 OT back from Slee.

Replaces my 200 series as a daily / roadtrip vehicle. 200 will stay in the family.

Amory and the team at Slee did a great job with the build-out and the truck drives great. Still breaking it in and will take it up to Colorado later this summer.

Work done
  • Slee Front Bumper
  • Baja Designs fogs and light bar
  • Nacho cornering lights
  • Slee Sliders
  • Slee Skids
  • ARB compressor mounted under hood on Slee mount with hose connection at the front bumper
  • GME GMRS system with antenna mounted on Westcott Designs hood hinge mount
  • Switch Pros for lights and compressor mounted with Slee mounts
  • NYTOP 17” wheels (17x8.5, 25mm offset)
  • Fallen Wildpeak A/T4W - LT285/75R17 - no rubbing from wheels / tires but the front bumper clearance helps. Front mud flap removed and some fender liner molding needed

For those wondering, the production 700 skids aren't in production just yet. But soon I'm told.

@sleeoffroad I need these before Cruisers on the Rocks!

@nibot lovely build! I'm mad jealous of the skids.

Hey! What's up neighbor. Where are you in H-town? We need to meet for me to geek out on all these sweet parts you got from Slee. So far, I only want the sliders...maybe not a good idea to meet since I will probably increase my list after seeing yours. 😅

Nori Green is a great color!!

Looks amazing. I thought they were still working on LX700H skids as LX600 are not compatible. Did u get steel or aluminum.
Skids are aluminum. Front bumper is steel.

Slee can confirm but I think this was one of the early sets of skids and they had to confirm fitment.

Do you have a link to this? Curious how I get something like this for my 200
