@sogncab speaking of the height reminded me that I need to source a ladder or getting things off/on the rack would be a PITA. Thinking I will go with a telescoping ladder that I can strap on somewhere or throw in the back.

Somthing like this is what I am thinking. Collapses down to 2.25' and extends to 7.5'

I stand on my tire to reach most things.

I actually was refreshing the wood on my ConFerr rack last night with Karl’s favorite, Tung oil.

I have a ladder similar to that for getting in and out of the tent. Could be handy for the roof rack too.

I think i climbed the tire to strap crap down. The ladder would've been way smarter.

Am I Karl? Or are you Karl?

Things are still a little weird after Colorado last year.
Like the spoon, there is no Karl.

Jesus. That's the second nicest thing anyone has ever said to me.

Is it dusty in here?
Oh, the list isn’t very long.

Today's project. Move the rear axle back 1". Not a massive move but enough that I don't have to worry as much about crunching some body metal and no worries with impacting rear drive shaft. Was realitively easy. With the 4 plus flip kit already having a forward hole which are 1" center to center....1" move it is. I only had to drill a new forward hole in the spring perches. In addition to the crunch avoidance, looks so much better with the rear tires not so forward. Not centered in the wheel well, but closer. I call it good.
