Hey guys, a sad day making this choice but recent purchase of some land leaves me needing a tractor and less time to enjoy my cruiser.
It is 1988 fj62 2fe (yes 2f block 3f head and injection) it is my dd runs 70mph straight as an arrow consistent 13mpg city/hwy avg has very noticable power improvement with 2f block. H55auto 5 speed transmission smooth, I replaced a stuck kickdown cable atound 10k miles ago. Owned this rig for the last 6years really is a great cruiser. I also have rear aussielocker I never got around to install. No rust at all on this rig!

For sale 89' FJ62 or $7,200 with only a few modifications. The original engine and transmission run great. I replaced the OEM seats with power seats from a 2015 Mustang, and the rear bumper with a 4X4 Lab tire carrier and receiver. The radio is an XM capable Navigation system.
The pros:
-strong engine and transmission with no slippage
-headliner is in great shape
-new tires
-newer brakes front/rear
-replaced all front end bearings 1yr ago
-new water pump
-new seats
-OEM rear seat no tears
-everything else is OEM
-heat/ac work
-straight frame
The cons:
-the speedometer/odometer stopped at 180k mile, I estimate about 220k mile and still running great
-not OEM front seats
-a few dents and dings around the body...
I've been lurking on these forums for awhile and am finally committing to buying an FJ(thanks to VW buying my TDI back.) I'm looking for a solid FJ60 as it will be my daily driver. Would like to find something here in the South but and willing to ship for the right cruiser. Any leads would be appreciated!

My needs have changed some and I think I need to be looking at 62's.
I'm looking for a rust free / clean, mostly stock 62 from 89/90.
The rarity of these rigs is acknowledged and the seller will be properly compensated.
I am willing to wait for the right ride.

I purchased this Land Cruiser in February of 2015 with 161k miles on the clock. Since then I've enjoyed taking care of this truck and giving it a good refresh. The mileage is currently at 179,796. Over the past two years I've done the following maintenance/base line work. This truck has spent it's life in New Mexico and Texas. Very minor rust pitting is occurring at a few spots at the surface of the original paint. Nothing that can't be sanded out and resprayed. For a Land Cruiser, I consider this one damn near rust free. One minor dent on rear quarter panel (see photo). Interior is pretty clean other than the usual driver seat tear. Dash is cracked. This truck has been my daily driver and runs very well. I'm moving on to...

My 85FJ60 with 266K has been a great truck for the last three years. This morning I drove it to work and passed the annual inspection. Everywhere I look I remember doing this or that to make things like I wanted it.
The short story behind this truck was that I wanted it to be comfortable all year round and I needed to be able to drive it to work in my suit. No excuses or surprises allowed. Truck goes 65mph without complaining while the AC runs. In the last 3 years and 7,000 miles it has only left me stranded one...

its my daily driver but its time to get rid of it. frame is pretty rusted but you can't beat the 4 cylinder diesel engine. 5 spd manual transmission. 1500$ for a quick sale location is in nelson canada

I am reposting this FJ62 for sale. I had a member commit to buying when I posted it for sale back in 2017. The sale was basically complete (including receipt of $1000.00 in earnest money that was returned) when the buyer had to back out. Since then we have moved and just generally been busy with life.
Since the original post the only changes to the truck are:
- New windshield wipers
- New battery
- New battery terminals

No front winshield, some dash pieces missing no tranny t case powerstea ring box. No head. Long block, interior, axles, wheels are great roof section looks to be solid great to cut off sheet metal or continue to part out rear lift gate and trunk good lots of extras. 800.00 obo take entire truck. Located in Columbus can deliver if you are close. Have to sell because we are moving need gone fast.
I'm in need of a spare tire tool kit for an 80 series. The Jack I have will work, I just need to be able to lower the spare tire. Any help is appreciated.

Along with that a Alaska diesel sticker is on the windshield.
Body has poor respray at some point in time.
Body rust is mostly located in rear door arches and the rear wheel wells have lots of bondo.
Roof gutters seem to be solid
Interior looks as if it was all taken out at one point and rhino lined then put back.
Frame is in poor condition and needs repair work done...
