Body has poor respray at some point in time.
Body rust is mostly located in rear door arches and the rear wheel wells have lots of bondo.
Roof gutters seem to be solid
Interior looks as if it was all taken out at one point and rhino lined then put back.
Frame is in poor condition and needs repair work done...

Putting a feeler out. I just picked this up not long ago and I love it, but the timing isn't quite right for me.
The truck runs great, has a few minor bugs, but is in great shape overall. It would make an excellent overland rig with the 12HT, high roof, and roof rack. I can keep up with traffic no problem, it drives nice, and there's tons of room in the back for activities.

Originally from San Diego, WHITE /TAN interior. Has been well maintained and is rust free body except for tailgate and a spot on roof, never wrecked and never been restored. its not a trailer queen. the interior shows some wear.
the head was rebuild last spring and was also desmogged along with carb rebuilt, reconditioned radiator and installed electric fan( still has original on also). just recently replaced front tierods and steering dampers along with shocks.
what the truck needs is a clutch assembly!

Up for sale is my 1983 FJ60. I have gotten a new job and I do not have the time or space to work on it or go trail riding for the next few years. It's a 4 speed auto transmission that's working very well and smooth.
Fuel Injected 3EFI engine
Has some wear and tear and a couple spots of rust.
Mechanically it runs well and has been my daily driver lately (for about a month) since I sold my truck.
Rear diff, front diff, transfer case, and transmission all had fluids changed on 3-2-17 and it passed smog on 3-9-17 and is registered in California till October 2017.
I just put a brand new battery and starter on it on 3-15-17.
Power, locks, windows, antenna, rear defroster, heater, and AC work. 4wd works well...
I picked this girl up last Spring from Specter Off Road out in SoCal. The mechanic at SOR wound up doing a bit of work to it including intake manifold, Carb rebuild, replaced vacuum lines and some other routine things. The odo gumd up on me at 148,999 miles and will no longer turn over to the next thousand (common issue). I have been tracking the mileage since so add an additional ~1700 mi. I was going to fix this but it has an aftermarket dash cover that needs to be removed in order to access the gauge cluster. Dash cover would likely be destroyed when removing which I believe a replacement from Cool Cruisers or some other vendors is around $150. It has the trans/ tcase oil sharing issue which is extremely common and not really worth...
I'm in the market for an FJ62 with under 225k miles that can function as a daily driver + off road vehicle occasionally (mainly in the mountains). In terms of modifications I'm looking for a small lift (2-3), new tires, front/rear bumpers, roof rack. I would to purchase something that has all/most of these modifications already built in. I'm pretty picky when it comes to color/look.
Bonus for 62's that have had their transmissions rebuilt as I'm not looking for any major projects in the near future.
