I have decided that I need to thin the fleet which right now is 6 vehicles for the two of us. I can put the insurance and tax savings into the remaining ones. Therefore, I am putting my 1976 FJ40 up for sale. It is Olive Brown and has been repainted by PO. The paint looks good from a distance but is not creampuff. It has the standard hard top and ambulance doors. Engine rebuilt at 157800; it now has a little more than 161000. All new hoses, belts, filters. New clutch kit, new clutch master and slave, new exhaust. Newer (by PO) brake booster, radiator, OME steering stabilizer. Upgraded to a 1985 Toyota electronic distributor and ignitor. Had Jim C. rebuild stock carb at 157.8K. Runs great and gets about 15mpg. Four wheel drive works fine. Tires are 33X10.5s. Motor was desmogged. I still have the emissions parts but do not know their status. Interior is clean; I treated the floors under the seats and the gas tank with POR15 and there is a new CCOT vinyl mat. Driver's seat has been moved back 2 inches. I treated the floor and back fender humps with Herculiner. Original jump seats in great shape. Electrical works except for tag light and backup lights. I am going to work on them next. I am asling $7500 for this truck. I am located near Dillon, MT 59725. Will e-mail some photos. Would consider trade for a nice FJ60 that is ready to drive (no rock crawlers or V8's please).
