I just listed my 1975 Mustard Yellow FJ-40 for sale on eBay.
Bone stock except for the bumpers, winch and some rust in the rockers.
Located in Greenville, Texas I-30 @ HWY 69. (60 miles E of Dallas)

Up for trade is a 1964 toyota land cruiser fj40
I bought this fj40 2 years ago on my about a month after my 16th birthday. and my family is having hard times in debt ect.. and not able to help me afford to work on this cruiser and i can not afford to do it on my own. I need a serious truck i can take girls on dates, have fun without any problems. Also this is my pride and joy, my blood sweat and yes TEARS are in this thing i take pride in my work i have put thousands of hours on this things, lots of 12 hour days. and this thing needs to go to a cruiser home where the owner will take care of her. My cruiser is the only thing that is near and dear to my heart.

Ok, I'm thinking about selling my cruiser. I like it but I hardly ever drive it and I have too much stuff. If I sell it good, if I don't that's fine too.

F motor, 3spd
runs excellent, carb has just been rebuilt, starts and runs fine even when it's cold.
Brand new brakes front and back. New drums on the front, and shoes and cylinders all the way around.
Just had the booster rebuilt last week, stops great.
Front and rear heaters work really good. New heater hoses on the rear heater and brand new SOR defrost ducts on the front.
All the lights work properly, turn signals cut off when the wheel returns to center, ect.
Parking brake works good.
Everything on the cruiser is in good...

Nice basic FJ40 for sale in Northern Utah. GM steering conversion, Rochester carb conversion. New Battery, Synthetic fluids, Mels Electronic ignition, new clutch master cylinder (larger volume FJ adapted) everything else is pretty much all original. A good basic Cruiser for not a lot of money. These pics were taken last summer, but I dont put a thousand miles on the beast a year...

This has been in my backyard for a couple years in a sorta for sale status, now I would like it gone....
1976 FJ40 frame with a 1973 40 body, clear title in hand matches frame numbers, body and frame are fairly good, rear sill not rusted through, just a few small bubbles. I bought this for parts, so the disc brake axle is gone, replaced with one from a '61 so it rolls, engine, trans/tcase, driveshafts, fenders gone, I would like to keep the rear axle shafts and differential (they are on there right now so it can be moved) so it might not roll once it is on your trailer...
This might have been a soft top model, so top does not match and is in poor shape-fiberglass has come away from the sides and has a vent hole towards the rear...
Anybody interested in a 90% complete restoration project???
74 body-off restoration, originally an Apache Jct. Arizona truck. frame shot blasted, body stripped with new CCOT quarter panels, Complete red paint-job done with PPG acrylic enamel over epoxy base.
Chevy engine w/ 300 hp double-hump corvette heads. New Edelbrock carb and manifold. Corvette block-hugger factory exhaust manifolds.
SM465 setup adapted to original 3-speed transfer case. Engine is located to allow use of stock drive shafts. Front axle bearings replaced, brakes done on both front and rear. Bestop soft top.
New tires, including spare...

:bounce2: I have a 1967 FJ40 For Sale, which I believe is in good condition for almost 40 years old.
The drive train has been switched out to a 350, run great (supposely rebuilt 20,000 miles). Could not tell you when or whom did the swap, but it seems like a pretty good job. Tranmission and transfer case both seem to be working good and no whinning on the fwy.
The paint has been redone several years ago and although the picture makes it look like a red, its more a metallic maroon. Body and paint are in great shape and I can not find rust, besides minor surface rust on the drive train areas. Interior floor has been sprayed with rhino liner and seats have been switch out with a highback style. Rear seats are missing. All...

For Sale: 1978 FJ40 LandCruiser.
I am looking to sell my FJ40, I have owned it for about 6 months. I have put less than 200 miles on it . It runs fine, it is not plagued with many of the typical Cruiser issues, yet has a few that most do not. This was a South American Cruiser so although it is a 1978, it has drum brakes all around, and it has plates instead of lockouts. It is about as rust free as they come (I am no expert, but it is in incredible shape).
It has 72000 miles on it, it is complete except for the cig lighter/ash tray, don't know if it ever had it, but it does not now. It also has no sun visors.
It appears to be completely original, never any paint or body work, no modifications at all. Has original Toyota floor mats...

well with no time and 2 kids i'm gonna sell this thing.
it's a 71 fj-40, SOA but that needs the perches rewelded. needs steering (took the column out), needs wiring (took the harness out). tub is in really good shape, no rust on the floors, some in the rockers/quarters but PO has bondo'd that and it looks ok. fenders are in good shape, later model hood (not split), no rust on windsheild frame. has a 74 F motor with a rochester carb, PO had it running when i got there but i have not started it in about 8 months. old style conferr rollcage and rear bumper. crazy pipe front bumper. partially disassembled (fenders,bib,seats,tranny cover, steering, wiring removed)
have a fj-60 that i'm parting that can go with it, so a 2F (no carb)...

Depending on speed and quantity of interest I am considering parting out my 69 FJ40. The electrical system fried on it, so be wary of anything electrical from it. Head was recently replaced, barely broken in. Other than that it is mostly complete but well worn. Let me know what you are interested in and we can work out a price if the decision is made to part it out. I am located in southeast Missouri and would prefer that larger items be picked up, but smaller items can be mailed at your cost. It does have the hard top, three speed floor shift, grey steelies currently with some mostly dry rotted bfg all terrains 32x10.5. Hope to hear from you soon.
