1977 FJ40. It has seen better days. It does not have any doors or seats. The hard top is from a 1970 so it doesn't fit correctly. The rain gutter has some rust on the inside, but may be salvageable. The body is junk. The gas tank leaks. Believe it or not, it does run. The roll bar is in pieces in the back. The frame is marginal. It has a good disc brake front axle. It's located in Southern NH right off exit 3 on Rte. 95. $500 takes it.

lots of extra parts, work is above top notch, its rolling on 37 mtrs, and almost ready for paint. over 15,000 invested and a ton of time, $12,000. come take a look, you could literally eat off this thing.

I have a 1996 4Runner Limited with a fresh engine, 60K, that I'm thinking of putting up for trade for a rust free FJ40. Well, as close to rust free as possible. Looking for a mildly built rig, stock motor and drive train that would make a good DD. I live in Louisville, KY and would gladly drive @ 200 miles to trade.
The 4Runner has 215K on the body, 60K on new engine, new radiator, AC evaporator, console swap, TJM T-15 bumper, bone stock but runs, drives and shifts like new.
There's nothing wrong with it, I just have the FJ40 bug now.

Selling my 78 fj-40 unfinished project,
Complete rebuilt never fired TBI 5.7 engine w/new howell wire harness, complete rebuilt never used SM 465 trans, New never used Marlin Crawler w/ final drive 119:1, P/S, spring over,shackle reverse,custom roll cage,front ARB air locker, rear Lock Right.
I have all the body parts and most of all the other parts to get it running. Engine and trans are mounted in frame.

This 1974 cruiser has a 2f engine and transmit ion from a 1987 Fj60.
The engine is running rough, (I don't know exactly what is wrong) but the transmission is running great. It has lots of brand new original Toyota parts... fuel pump, starter, water pump, and a brand new Weber carb, never used. It has 33 inch mud tires. I hate to let it go, but I just don't have the time to work on it.
I am in Northwest Florida.

I am looking to buy an FJ40 near Cincinnati, OH. I am willing to drive up to 200 miles or so. I am looking to spend $5,500 or less, so I understand if it is rusty or needs to be restored for that low of a price. The cheaper, the better. I would rather spend more to restore it myself than spend more on someone else's restoration. In other words, I would be more confident if I restored it myself because I would know everything about the truck.

Hey guys, I am a noob here and I wanna get going really bad. I was supposed to buy me a cruiser tomorrow, my first... But some dillhole from ebay whom I trusted sold it out from under me. I got the bank check ready, had him verify it was good, and I was going to go town tomorrow morning and pick it up. He swore he would hold it for me. Called him today, it sold... He lied about it all.

I need to sell my 1972 FJ40! I brought it from Kentucky back home with me this past summer and have failed in doing anything with it. I need one that is not quite so much a project since my husband has had to have surgery on his right shoulder. It has rust and would need some serious love but I have been able to get the motor to turn over and I bought a new instrument cluster since my original one was stolen along with the radiator. Everything else is there except the fuse panel. It was being vandalized at my home in Kentucky thus the reason fro bringing it to GA. I am trying to get my money back out of it so I can get another one that would be running and drivable. I would take $1700 OBO. I have a picture which I will post later. Let...

1974 FJ-40 350 4 speed Ranger overdrive 35/12.50 15 and a set of 33 12.5 15 all on steel white spoke rims. Spring over power steering hard top.
1969 FJ-40 parts rig complete f motor 3 speed 1 disk brake axle 2 drum all running when removed. extra front cowl for project 2 ccot fenders never installed new wiring harness painless alot of misc parts for rebuild.
fair market value for both on edmunds is 22,000 the 74 needs some body work in the normal 40 places but it was kept under check fairly well and i have taken good care of it as well. let me know what you all think i reallly want to get a nice camp trailer and a pickup to haul it with so trades are always an option too.

The "seller" is claiming to be a woman who got the car in a divorce. Your first red flag is that "she" knows what gear ratio it is.....and that "she" is selling it because she doesn't drive. Yeah.....and by the way, you can't see the vehicle because she will only use Ebay payment and ship it to you...even if you are local. Right. BTW, the plates say oregon, it's listed in VA, and the fake phone number is an arkansas area code.

Currently stored in my garage. She was a daily driver up until August/September of last year.
The good:
-Engine and drivetrain are all restored, adjusted and working like a charm. Started without a hitch in over a year of daily commuting/playing. no real leaks or anything.
-Seats are are all 100% restored with custom new vinyl as of a couple years ago. Done by a hot rod shop in Red Deer.
- ambulance doors are in pretty good shape, bit of surface rust, but overall they are pretty clean.
- Eagle alloys all around, are mint. The BFG's are not though. they are cracking after having sit at the previous owners house too long. They did last me fine...
