"Project Someday"
I bought this so that I could have an emission free FJ40 ('66 and older here) but I really don't think I'll ever find the time for it. And since my '71 passed emissions last time around, there really isn't a need. So here is a '62 rolling chasis. I've had it for just over a year and bought it as you see it. Engine, tranny, transfer, are included. I've never had it running so all I can tell you is that it ran at least when Fram came out with the "gripped" oil filters. The rear dif is centered, a lot of early FJ40's got left over FJ25 parts from what the FJ25 guys tell me. Plenty of surface rust, but no rot. There is some post for a cage welded to the frame but those can easily...
I have for trade my 1987 FJ60, with 133... miles,a/c,4x4 nice interiors, camping drawers systems, new fuel tank on Toyota recall and new fuel sender unit at the same time by Toyota dealer.
Prefer fj40 4 speed transmission, with full top and doors, nothing fancy just that works good with some repairs to do.:wrench:
1965 FJ40 Rockcrawler, Price Reduced!!
Well here it is! If you have been looking for a seriously built FJ40, look no further. Except for following the buggies into areas where there would be unavoidable body damage, this truck will go anywhere you take it. It would go there too but I didn't want to tear up such a great rig. I have a file folder over 3" thick of receipts dating back to the early 70's. In Jan 03 the previous owner took this truck to Man-A-Fre and had 17.5k in parts alone installed on it. By my calculation over 40k has been spent on this truck in the last 5 years. It's got everything you could want, and I have spent the last 2 years tweaking it. As far as I am concerned it's perfect, and it's still street legal.

Here is what it has on it:
New 350 Chevy V8,just the engine, (around 2,000 on engine since it was put in)
4" suspension lift
A/C
GM Power steering
Corbeau Seats
Corbeau harnesses
Bed liner inside
Aux gas tank
4 speed
Disc brakes (come with the truck, but not currently installed)
Tinted Windows
I'm asking $7,500 or best offer
PM me with questions if you have any. I can get more pics too if needed.
Located in Atlanta, but can travel for additional $ to deliver the truck or meet up with you.
Thanks
hilery
Would go to Minneapolis or Chicago. 76 and up preferred, wanting disc brakes and 4speed trans. Would consider anything, project to pristine. Price depends on condition, looking to spend less than 5k although could scrounge up some more for an 83 with factory air and power steering

Any interest in a 69 project? This has been sitting in my garage for a while, but I'm going thru a move and storage is now an issue. I bought this disassembled from a guy in Colorado Springs several years ago. Seems to be pretty much complete. Only rust issues are under the doors, rear quarters and rear sill. No engine. Comes with the 3 speed and transfer and also a 4 speed if you want to swap. Coversion parts to mate a SBC to the 3 speed. Have an extra set of springs that I'm told are Rancho 4" lift. Frame is in good shape. Clear title. I'll try to get some pictures up in the next few days. Thinking $500 obo, just need to get rid of everything.

I have reluctantly decided to sell my FJ40. The FJ40 is an 1980 Overseas Version (RHD). I purchased the vehicle from the original owner two years ago. He purchased the truck new while working in Jakarta, Indonesia. He used the vehicle while there as every day transportation. Prior to returning to the US (early ninetys), he had the truck disassembled and repainted the original John Deere Green. He also installed aftermarket AC (blows very cold) and power steering along with a new stereo and 10 disc CD changer. Everything on the truck functions and the vehicle drives perfectly. The truck has very low mileage (68,160 kilometers = 42,352 miles!). This is a very nice FJ40 and has been taken very good care of by its two owners. My price is...

1962 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. Spoa front and coil rear suspension with custom 3-link w/ panhard bar. Rancho 9000 shocks, Rubicon Express coils in the rear and Rancho leaf springs up front. 101 in wheelbase.
I Really don’t want to sell as it is my dream car/project, but I no longer have a place(garage) where I can work on such a long term project. I would like to sell everything at once, so please no requests for parting it out.
It currently needs the tranny to be mounted (a cross member needs to be fabricated), the exhaust re-mounted (Was removed when I pulled the tranny to be re-built), and the fuel system to be plumbed…I have the entire Fuel system purchased. Summit Racing 20 gallon fuel cell, pump, filters, regulator, new fuel...
Make me an offer!
Original engine, runs like a champ. Over 120,000 miles, but counter has quit working. Has had regular maintenance (I have records). Body has some rust. Since I bought it in 2003 all I have had to replace is the clutch master. Got new tires 3 years ago, and only drove about 300 miles a month. Radio doesn't work, but the heat does! Winch doesn't work.
Features: complete soft top and full soft doors, bikini top and half soft doors, hard top and hard doors (needs some welding to install), hitch receiver and hitch, trailer light harness, jump seats in the back, after market horn, new heavy-duty seat covers in front.
This is a great project car and it breaks my heart to sell it, but I had to get a commuter...

1969 fj 40 $4,000
1969 fj40, orig eng, 3 spd on the column, runs good, ****py soft top with soft doors.
The only rust I found was in the bottom panel, just beneath the drivers seat. the front right fender has a slight bend. the tires are good enough to get to the tire store.
All in all it's really in pretty good shape, But I'd rather get another jeep (my 14 year old daughter will drive a jeep with an auto but not "that big old ugly thing") and face it I would rather be with the kid, in a jeep than be by myself in an fj (please do not curse or throw hard objects).
Long story longer.... I just bought it, I want to trade for a jeep (doesn't have to be a auto) or a "cruiser" street bike. Cash $4,000 (not...

Complete 69 FJ40 For Sale, OH - Reduced $
I H8 to do it. I held out as long as I could. But realistically, it just won't ever be the same. I moved this rig from CA 2 1/2 years ago. I purchased it in CA in 2003 - no rust anywhere.
I drove it across the country in the fall of 2005. It made a few trips to the grocery store since, then my wife had a baby and the thing has sat in the garage for the better part of the last 2 years.
I fear I'll never use it properly here in Ohio and would be better served getting rid of it now or continue feeling guilty every time I look at it, which is every day. :frown:
It's great rig. It has all original steel, no replacement anything on the body. I did restore the hardtop as it came...
not pretty, but not all bad. rust in rear corners, rear sill plate, and side kick panels, thats it. front fenders a little bent up)
