I can't believe I'm actually doing this but unfortunetely the time has come for me to move my baby. Getting married in 6 months and the dreaded practical argument has entered my head. Wanted to have an opportunity to sell her to a Cruiserhead so I thought I would post her here first before I explore other sales options.

Beautifully restored, professionally built, rust free body, California 1972 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser with 756 miles.

The garaged Cruiser was built by the Land Cruiser specialists at BTB Products. BTB Product's custom built FJ40s have sold for well over $100,000. Here is your opportunity to own a vehicle built by mechanical engineers & Land Cruiser enthusiasts. This smog exempt "Show" quality vehicle is ready for the trail or the highway. Almost every part, nut, bolt, bearing & gasket has been replaced by a new one and the old ones have been painstakingly cleaned, sandblasted and painted. I am confident this is the nicest Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 available - You can EAT off the exhaust manifolds and frame.

I am the 2nd owner of the cruiser. The 1st owner used the cruiser on his vineyard in Paso Robles California. I have invested many years and a lot of love in this Cruiser. It is very painful to part with my FJ40, but like I said I'm getting married this summer and it has come time to pass her on to someone who will love and appreciate her as much as I have. She is simply the most beautiful Toyota Land Cruiser I have ever seen. It would be difficult to find a cleaner Cruiser for sale. My loss is your fortuitous gain. I have 180 photos of the Cruiser & the restoration process at the link below. http://s86.photobucket.com/albums/k106/jtelford/

The Cruiser is located in San Francisco CA. Willing to assist in Shipping or pickup.

I'm asking $20,000 OBO

*SERIOUS BUYERS* If you have any questions please feel free to contact me by PM or email.

Thanks for looking!

Still for sale? & if so, is there a hard top & doors available for it?

Hey, I was here first...

How did you get in contact with him Havis? I am willing to pay more, but no one answered my PM or email.
Thanks, Ya'll! She's been bought sight-unseen. Just pics. Had to move fast... she was underpriced.
She's moving to Dallas.
Hey Texican if you are the new owner:cheers: you stole that one great job:grinpimp: Like you said had to move fast good deals wait for anyone

Underpriced is an understatement in the case:doh:

Congrats and I hope its everything and more than you expect!

*SOLD* Thanks to all that responded

She's going to go a good home in Dallas. Not sure how Havis's brother's buddies are going to feel about the Niner paint job in Dallas but I imagine there still may be some drooling involved.

I'm feeling the pain of a great loss right now.:frown:

Thanks again guys!

Jim

Hey Jtelford,

Why didn't you reply to my email or pm on Friday?

Dcannon dont worry bro just forget about it another will come your way... It just wasnt meant to be, keep cool and you will find the one or better yet it will find you. What are you looking for specifically? Post a wanted ad in the vehicles for sale section:idea:

Good Luck with your search and enjoy the forum:grinpimp:

Thanks Addict, I just didn't understand why my correspondence was never returned since Friday, but someone else emails and gets a response.

I am a soon to be reformed early Bronco owner and on the classicbroncos.com website, whoever posts first while sending an email and/or PM gets the first right of refusal... that does not appear to happen on this board.

David - Don't take it personally that I did not respond to your PM or email. First of all I didn't see any emails until this morning. Believe it or not there were several interested parties. In your email you said "I'll take it." You did not however make a best offer. Did you think I was kidding about OBO? Well a few others did not overlook my stated OBO & bid Significantly higher than what I posted it for. Am I not going to do what's in my best interest? They wanted to make sure they closed me without them having to worry about getting into a bidding war with somebody for fear of losing out. That is how you close a deal. I don't know where you're from but in my world if you see something good come along you better be prepared to strike while the irons hot. Unfortunetely that usually involves opening up your check book. You never threw out a figure - They did. Coffee's for closers.

I have a huge checkbook... how much did you get? I would have paid more...

Where I come from you would communicate to the interested parties and take the highest offer...

I was attempting to "strike while the iron was hot". When I wrote "I'll take it", I meant let me know what I need to do to own it. My fault if I did not spell it all out. I thought that by leaving 2 phone numbers and 2 email addresses, we could speak face to face before you accepted an offer elsewhere.

I need the Glen Gary leads.

Not concerned that you would have given me more. He made a fair offer that looked very attractive to me. I took it - Nuff said.

Like I said, I really do appreciate your interest & I'm sorry to disapoint you but I did what I thought was best for me & my current situation. Good luck with your search.

I bought it...

I guess I lucked into this one. Its an awesome looking Cruiser. Not sure about the 49'er colors, but what are you gonna do? Does anyone know of a good hauler I could use to get it back to Dallas???

F'n F'r, go and get it. Won't that POS Discovery you drive now pull that new ride? San Fran is nice this time of year. Really, look at MUDship and see if there's anything going from there to here.

When the heck did you register here? All the Cruiser info you ever need is here. Check out the 'search' function and peruse the different forums. Woody has developed a really good Cruiser site. Really.

Sign on the line which is dotted.... First prize a FJ40-- second prize, a set of steak knives! At least you are not looking at 3rd! Maybe you should make him an offer he CAN'T refuse....
