You guys might like this ? I saved my trail spare Birfild , I had to cut my axle off ! No more snap rings for me ,I will put a MARV TACK on my axle shaft down by the Spiders gears ? You can see why axle would not come out ,That snap ring was all #$#%^^!

So Now for repairs This is how i centered the birfeild in knuckle without the tool , ,Took a flash light 2 see where that axle shaft was ?? needed to add a shim on bottom of knuckle to center birf ??? Nice new Longfeild axle and Birf ...? The pipe i found was just right size to center that axle in housing

So you center the shaft in the housing and then add shims to the knuckle until it is as close to center as you can get?

I just wanted to document This , Only 300 miles round trip . What ever it takes to make your kids future save ,,,, Pulling rig and camper about 12.5 mpg

I get single digits towing my camper with the Tundra, it hurts, but it’s also not $7.xx a gallon (currently). Making memories with the kids is worth it.
