So I had this happen to me, and my attempt at a helicoil ended up at an angle which caused the belt to be able to walk on the pulley. I ended up replacing the oil pump. I followed a video on YouTube where you pull the cv axles, drop the front differential, drop the cross member, remove the lower and upper oil pans, remove the oil pick up and oil cooler/filter mount, then remove and replace the oil pump. Then put it all back together. It’s been a year now and no problems since. I’m glad I went through all that because the back of the hole drops the shavings from drilling and tapping, and more importantly- the tang from the helicoil, into the oil pan. I’ll try to attach a pic of all that mess.

I don't understand why or how we ended up with such a big difference in aluminum shard size, mine were consistantly almost dust sized on all three tools. Also with the time sert kit, you don't actually drill all the way through the wall, you'll see the black tape on the drill bit to limit the depth just to the depth of the insert. And the tap guide shown on the tap, forces you to have square threads. I'm a mechanical engineer but haven't done any machining shop work in over 20 years, this was hard to screw up, just take your time, follow the steps, breath, and I think most people are gonna be fine.
