FOR SALE!!!!!!!!!!! 1974 Ute 40 series
40 series Landcruiser restoration project 1974 Toyota Landcruiser Ute 6 cylinder Petrol engine Manual 5499km (not sure if this would have ticked over I presume so!) Reluctantly, I am having to sell on this awesome cruiser project as I have far too many other projects on the go as well as struggling to find the time for her with working full time! Every part of this project needed to completely restore this cruiser comes with the vehicle. The panels, chassis, accessories have been glass blasted and epoxy primed to cure all rust. Some panels as well as the cab body will need pitting holes filled and some filler work if wanting to achieve that perfect restoration look. BRAND NEW radiator, engine rebuild kit, body mounts, bump stops...
The start of the add: "1977 Toyota FJ40 body off the chassis restoration to "as it rolled off the assembly line". Everything on this vehicle has been gone through and restored, everything....." Yea, right!...as it rolled off the assembly line! Less a few parts, perhaps? This Dude's been smoking that same Kali weed 1970TLC got into? Check it out: > CL 1977 FJ40 $65K < Let the shenanigan's begin!
1977 FJ40 For Sale - Virginia
Selling my 77 FJ40. I also have a bunch of various spare parts (carbs, brake booster, turn signals, engine block, transmission, brake pads, rotors). You can email me and I can send pictures and I'll tell you everything I know about the FJ. I've owned it five years and done a lot of maintenance and upgrades (Old man Emu suspension, hard top seals, intake gasket, new carb, brake lines, new seat covers, A/C system, knuckles rebuilt, etc). $27,000. You should be able to look at my various photo albums for pics of my rig so I won't post a bunch here. I will add some more recent photos to my album soon. email - fj40@use.startmail.com Thanks, Leslie Newman
Good morning y’all! New to the forum and trying to figure out what this thing is worth! Could somebody provide some pointers as to what are some of the more intricate things I should look for in this model, outside of rust etc.? How does it being JDM impact the price? What about being a diesel? What about the aftermarket aluminum tub? https://honolulu.craigslist.org/kau/cto/d/kapaa-toyota-land-cruiser-bj40-diesel/6849571991.html Any help is much appreciated! Thanks y’all!

FS: 1973 FJ40 near Denver CO - lots of potential
Hi Mudders. I purchased this 1973 FJ40 off here last year from a gent in TX. The plan has been to get it up and running, but life keeps kicking me in the nuts and I am throwing up the white flag of surrender. Plus, I have a Sprinter 4x4 conversion inbound and I need to recoup some of that expense. When purchased last yr, I was told it ran, but "needed work" to the brakes and transmission. When it arrived on flat bed, I quickly realized it was over my head. It has a disc brake conversion up front, but there's no brake pressure or fluid in the system. Previous owner said they just needed bleeding to complete the swap. This cruiser does start, but does not hold an idle. The previous owner felt it was a carb issue from sitting for 6+ yrs...
