I acquired this 1969 FJ40 last year before starting school, under the delusion that I would restore it to concours-level perfect. Didn't take long to fully despise bodywork. Body is exceptionally rusty, frame has several holes, and there are no front seats. Drivetrain appears solid. Engine runs without any knocking or other bad sounds, and I never had the floor solid enough to shift the transmission. Column shift 3-speed with vacuum shift transfer case. More pictures will follow soon. As stated above, I do not have a title for this vehicle. USD 4000 '1000' Or Best Offer. Front view by Robert Lingerfelt posted Jul 6, 2016 at 11:26 PM
SOLD - Virginia - 1979 FJ40 w/ factory A/C - Arizona Truck
This truck has been sold but keep an eye on LCN for others. She spent 37 years in Yuma, AZ before moving to VA in 2017. Of any populated place in the contiguous United States, Yuma is the driest, the sunniest, and the least humid. (Wikipedia) I owned this truck in 2016 so we have some history. This 1979 FJ40 has factory A/C that blows cold. She was re-painted from Olive to Beige in 2004. The firewall remains the original Olive. Original engine, drivetrain, and suspension with newer BFG’s over white spokes. The odometer seized up around 70K miles right after the current owner got her. A new-old-stock cluster with the odometer set at zero was installed. Today it reads about 3500. The original cluster is included in the sale. I'm...
I may go take a look and drive this one tomorrow: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/toyota/fj-cruiser/2233775.html It is listed at $29,999 but the listing doesn't show much in the engine or underneath. I would be interested in input on: A) Things to look for/at? B) What might it be worth (based on various levels of restoration)? and C) Whatever other smart (not 'smart-ass') comments you all might have. Follow the link above. Thanks all! 40th (but no 40) P.S. Sorry I didn't know exactly how to capture pictures and post them here...

**SOLD** 1966 FJ40 Arizona, clean title
I bought this FJ40 a year and a half ago from an old guy in a small town north of Phoenix. It's a very solid truck but has not been on the road for nearly 15 years. Suffered from a so-so restoration, many years ago I presume, where a Buick 350 was installed and a thick half assed paint job and body armor was bolted to it. My intent was to do an above average restomod with an LS engine or a 2f out of an FJ60. I started collecting parts and sanding and grinding in my free time to weld up the bolt holes from the armor and put in new quarter panels. Pulled out/sold the engine, and yanked the shoddy wiring to clean the engine bay for paint. It's been a slow go, and in the meantime I picked up another 40 that's considerably more complete...

1975 FJ40 w/Disc Brakes and EFI
This is my most recent consignment at LCN. A very nice 1975 FJ40 survivor! This two-owner, US Spec, California smog compliant 1975 Mustard FJ40 has been pampered by her current owner for the last 10 years. She's used at his hunting cabin in the mountains of Northern CA. Each time she comes back from the trial, the owner details her, checks all fluids and performs any needed maintenance. She's been extremely well cared for and it shows. The majority of her Mustard paint is original. She was upgraded to disc brakes in front. The owner worked closely with Howell Engine Development to add Howell fuel injection for reliable performance at varying elevations. Underneath you will find an HFS suspension providing plenty of ground clearance...
Looking at Selling my 1972 FJ40
I got this rig after rolling my FJ55 during a move from NC to CA it’s got rust in one of the running boards and in the rear sill not horrible but there are rust through spots still solid as is. I was in the process of converting the Carberator to the FITech EFI and the last step is to get the O2 sensor in place and it should start and run. Other then that it’s got an F engine that I bought rebuilt and all new mast and slave clutch it does go into gear and I had driven it with an original carb on it prior to starting the conversion. I also installed a Mishimoto radiator that is made for the FJ40. The only thing it will need is the gutter fixed for the hard top and brakes done it’s got a new master but needs a brake booster and I am sure...
