Bouncy front end ride - shocks? AHC?

My front end bounces when we hit any bump - bouncing like it's a hydraulic low rider kind of thing. On normal pavement the ride is fine and the AHC seems to work per normal. But if I ride over a speed bump or hit a crack in the pavement the truck feels bouncy / spongy in its ride. Is this the shocks? The AHC somehow?

Anyone else deal with this in the past? If so, what was the diagnosis and fix?

More than 90% of the time- the system just needs to be maintained. A fluid flush and pressure correction.
