FJ40 In Yosemite! by billyr posted Oct 27, 2018 at 12:16 PMThis car is a true classic. 49 years old and still running strong, a California gem. No rust anywhere. This '69 FJ40 has an inline 6 "2F" motor paired to a 4 speed manual gearbox. It has a functional 4WD transfer case for 4H and 4L. It has been upgraded to have power disc brakes and power steering. All work has been done by Custom Cruisers FJ40 in Gilroy, CA. Runs great on the highway and is an absolute beast off road. It has taken multiple trips from the bay area to Yosemite without issue. 1969 is grandfathered in to California smog regulations so you never have to worry about smog checks! Has clean title. Asking $26,000. Price is firm. If you have questions feel free to pm me...
Testing the waters here.. I've got a flat-lined project that been killing me and have made the decision to sell. I'd rather talk about the details via phone than try and list them all here to try and value this project. All of the best products were used in this build, but it has been stalled for 2+ years. View Pics (and same info) here - 1968 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser - PROJECT Here are the basics: 1-owner FJ40, bought in LA in1968, lived 45+ years in Las Vegas. There was zero rust on this 40 when I took possession. Owner used as a hunting vehicle and was towed behind his RV. Original motor and drive train gone. Was driven as a V8 conversion for years. I pulled and sold the SBC that was in in. No motor. This sale includes a fully...

1965 FJ40 FOR SALE
Just completed in time for Christmas, a Full Nut & Bolt Frame Off Restoration. This early model FJ40 is a rare, collector's item equipped with parts that are nearly impossible to find. When this FJ40 was purchased from the Toyota dealership it was one of the few who the customer opted for a hardtop with corrugated side panels. The back end features small swing-out doors with a unique, rear hatch that can be pushed up and folded horizontally — the only foldable version available on these models. The original windshield ventilation cover was in perfect working condition (which is rare) and has been restored. Inside, you'll find plenty of exposed metal (typical of early model Land Cruisers) and seats trimmed in Black vinyl - just like...
'76 FJ40 in Illinois. My 'Baby' needs a better home :(
Sadly, I think it's time to part with my girl, "Miss Kitty" . I am in over my head. Purchased out of FL. in 2014. Solid body and fresh paint job and undercoating. Was reliable and ran good until this past Memorial Day. Miss Kitty threw a rod...Most of her is original, but the engine was an 'F' not a 2F that should be in that year. The original color was Freedom Red. The Florida owner had a nice Sand color (see pics), but it was supposedly marine paint and was cracking. Rust has been mediated. My husband wants to tinker with it, as this is the era car he learned auto mechanics on, but honestly, he has 10,000 OTHER projects ... I on the other hand bought it purely for it's lovely aesthetics :) and was naively (!) hoping it would be my...
Hello all. I'm glad to finally be back from back to back OCONUS assignments (Korea/Germany)! Im headed to Ft Polk Louisiana next.... I'm really wanting a corrugated top 40 or 25 lately. I'd absolutely prefer original paint/patina if possible. I'm not looking for a museum piece nor do I want an absolute basket case. I just want something mostly straight body wise. The drivetrain isn't as important. I have the funds that I'm ready to spend. Please let me know if you're willing to part with something described above. Thanks! Daniel Danielswatters@gmail.com

Hey all, As stated in the title, I'm looking for a purist satisfactory 1978 Fj40 in daily driver condition. This is my favorite year and I'd like to own one as close to factory or unmolested as possible. I've been scouring all of the country on Craigslist, BaT, ebay, you name it. Hoping to find one in Rustic Green, Smurf Blue, or Dune Beige. Acceptable/tasteful upgrades would include: A/C Power Steering Lockers Winch Carb upgrade / fuel injection Disc Brakes Rhino lined floor/undercarriage Custom fab tire carrier Budget is anywhere less than $30k. Thanks!
Hi, This may be a long shot but I am looking to purchase a 79-83 fj40 preferably in dune beige but open to other colors, in the LA area. I prefer it to be as original as possible. Since I plan on using it for street use and light off-roading it must be able to pass smog. I want to be able to use it as a daily driver. My budget is around 10-15 if possible. Thank you in advance for your help.
