We pulled this lighted emblem off a new Tacoma this morning. The customer didn’t like it, wanted something else.

Going to see what I can do with it on the LC… 🤔 I usually steer away from these kinds of things but hey… it might look ok.

Probably going to be a no-go. It’s a little too thick. Pretty sure it would look quite cheesy, too…

Cheesy? It lights up? Does it work with regular old 12 volts or does it need a computer to light up? What color light? How big is it?
Just thinkin' out loud...

It’s two-wire, so probably just 12V. Nothing fancy. Lights up just the Toyota logo in white.

It should be the same size as the 2013-2015 emblem. But I guess the illumination is built into the back of the emblem, so it is a much thicker than the one on my grille.

The OEM emblem has to be "radar" transparent to work with the collision and cruise control systems on the 2013. That lighted emblem would probably block those signals, no?

Good point, that was also on my mind. That Taco has a forward radar sensor behind the emblem, too. That definitely doesn’t mean that it would work with the radar on the Land Cruiser, but there’s at least a chance.
