^^^^^ Sure looks same.
Also search MV50 and MV80. Both are cheap but popular for airing up.

I would head over to your local Schwin dealership. They have a nice variety of hand pumps. They also have a real fancy inflator that uses CO2 cartridges. (Insert smiley face here)

Try as I might, I cannot get anyone to sell me a Puma in Canada and no one will ship one here. I've been using an MV50 in the interim, but it just doesn't compare.

I bought mine from Ebay/Buzzard Gulch and had it shipped to my home in BC. Was a couple years ago now though.

I have been doing a lot of reasearch for a good 12v compressor.
This thread is as good as any to bump rather starting a new one.
A really good compressor is not hard to find, you can purchase them any where up to as high as $900.00
But I'm on a buget so that is a problem if I want the best.
The term "Best Bang for the Buck" seems to be a better term to say for me.
The units that stand out the most popular is: ARB, Viair, Puma, MV-90, Smittybilt & a new one the Air Zenith.
Each have some good qualities of there own, but which is the Best Bang for the Buck? Has anyone had good service life out of the cheaper MV-90 & the larger Smittybilt 2781 units?

This is what I would spring for.
If you want more volume plumb a tank btwn frame rails and body?
It's the Puma with Dual Tanks.
I have a dual tank at home and it makes a lot of water and tanks rust if not drained. Not sure how I would handle that.

See post #4. There are a bunch of us abusing the heck out of the single tank Pumas. IIRC, same bits as double tank but smaller foot print. Mine gets used several times each month for 5 years and it still fills my 37s from. 18 to 35 in about 2 minutes.

Mounted an ebay tank down under the front driver side frame rail. Used the Viair compressor with a in cabin switch and auto shut off pressure switch. Extended the stainless steel line for easy access to attach the air hose. Also mounted an air horn which comes in very handy when prius drivers tend to wander :steer: beyond their lanes. Been using it for a year now with no issues.

talked to via air about this today, I am running their 400cc unit and it is somewhat slow. Asked about upgrading it and I guess that is their fastest unit they have? at least that is what they told me. I may just live with it, most of the time I am not in a hurry anyhow when out camping with family.

I posted this on Dingo's build page, but thought it might add to this discussion:

The one issue I was still facing was trying to re-inflate tires in a more rapid fashion in between trails. I could have purchased the VIAIR kit, but instead pieced together my own, which fits great in the space where my spare used to live.
I used the Viair 400C compressor and initially a Firestone 1 gal tank someone gave me. Realized quickly that I needed more compressed air storage and found the Firestone 3 gallon tank on Amazon. So now I have 4 gallons of air and tested the system. Went from 20 lbs to 44 lbs in under a minute per tire. Also picked up a Viair kit that has a flexible air line and I can reach all the way around Dingo and trailer from one air chuck in the rear bumper. Cheers

so it sounds like a larger air tank will help with my issues?.....

The MV50 takes a licking and keeps on pumping. The new model has a standard QD hose connection, which is a bonus. It is a good bang for the buck. I bought one for my son in law a few months back for $50 and now they want more than $70? What's up with that?

It looks like I just need to wait & save up a bit more to get me into the $250 to $300 range.... My current 1 hour fill times with my Slime unit will have to due for now???
