Nice!

Is Ben the Canadian version of Smokey Bear?
Ok I looked this up, it’s actually a pretty damn cool bit of BC beer history I had no idea about.

Minor update but pretty happy to be making one.

Over the last while I’ve been cleaning space in the shop, managed to lower the 55 down to working height finally.

Seats are still on the shop floor from when they were re-done, I want them in the truck for a multiple of reasons so the broken seat mount was next up. Must have been a big boy in here at one point because many seat springs were broken in addition to the pass mount tore loose from the front pan.

Not the best welds on the crusty floor but they will do.

Neither white I have is a good match…

Next up is doing the rear axle spring pads, I need to confirm a few things first, I once knew the exact difference in the OME 60 heavy rear pack I have vs stock 55 spring centre but have lost my note 🤷🏼‍♂️

Found a couple breadcrumbs today to help me move that forward.

New spring pads are done, decided not to box ends as the ones I cut off were right full of crap, theory being I can keep these clean with the open ends?

I went with 35mm spacing to suit the 60 rear leafs I have (OME heavies), will fully weld out once I sort out caliper mounts.

And getting everything square almost kicked my ass, sheesh.

After getting the axles under the travel trailer squared away I opened up the next can of worms on the 55, man the drum is beat up inside. I guess it’ll have to do for static use. I have a brake kit & seal from Kurt on the shelf
