One step forward, two steps back...had mice in our new travel trailer after the dealer worked on it, so I dropped and re-sealed the entire underbelly over the last couple weeks. Nobody does good work anymore 
Got after grinding my donor rear 60 axle today, worked hard and just trying to get good progress rather than indecision paralysis, yeah no.
So I have 2 donor axles, one had the 3rd out already so it was my choice, plus it looked less rusty than the other housing.
And here is the problem, both sides of the tube are paper thin where the spring pads came off.
So I’ll repeat on the other housing and hope for better results.
Got started on disassembly today and it’s already fighting me because all the 3rd nuts are so rusty they didn’t take a socket...had to torch/vice grip all of them. Will be needing more hardware for re-assembly for sure.
