Hey Jason,

Could you clarify the date that payments for your bush pressing kits stopped? As I purchased the kit on 12th September 2023 with no knowledge of Wits End history, it will be helpful for me to negotiate with my credit card company if I can show them the link to this thread and prove he did not have stock when I purchased.

Unless of course Wits End has used another supplier, as he indicated to me by email that the kit had just arrived from the machinist, and I was only waiting because the axle seal driver needed anodizing.

Based off of the quoted post above. He hadn’t paid for that set since around 2021. I hope you get your money back.

Too bad to see this happen. I will say I have seen it several times before on this forum. Not often but it happens. I have the hard rule of disputing all charges not at my doorstep within 90 days. Even then I have had to fight to get my money back. The latest one the vendor tried to claim that their "cancellation fee" was 80% of the purchase price. So basically I get no parts and have to pay 80 percent. They claimed it was on their website somewhere. Eventually I won but it took a lot of my time and effort on the phone. Unfortunately this stuff happens and is part of "business" as a whole. Doesn't make it right but I am not surprised.

I'm in Norway and ordered a bush pressing kit and axle seal driver 12th September, does his bankruptcy filing now mean I've got no chance of disputing the $380 on my credit card?

I have just today curiously received an email from Wits End updating my order status, along with an international USPS tracking number that says awaiting item. Communication went dark 6 weeks ago.

It's entirely possible that he is following this thread and sent the shipping notification so you wouldn't dispute the charges.

You're really over thinking this.

• You don't have the goods you ordered after a reasonable amount of time.
• The Vendor isn't communicating with you.

Dispute the charge on your credit card and move on. The fact you care as much as you do about the last time someone received the parts you're talking about is actually a testament of how much demand there is for Witt's End products in the market place and how much it sucks to lose a supplier. Unless credit card disputing rules are vastly different in Norway, I doubt you'll need a lot more than "didn't get what I ordered, Vendor won't reply to me" to reverse the charge.

He did the same to me back in July, got a tracking # and everything, after month with no movement I emailed him and his excuse was his local post office was on strike and that was third time it’d happened (). I knew it was bullsh!7, but I followed up 2 more times with no response. Filed a dispute with my CC company and just recently won the dispute.

This is exactly what he does. He issues fictitious tracking numbers and/or fake refund emails though his ecommerce site. He is hoping to delay you enough to cause your CC dispute rights to expire.

My limit for a delay in shipping an item is 30 days on everything not custom or built to order. The latter has to be from a reliable and an establish vendor with no history of shipping complaints for me to let it pass 30 days before I file a dispute.

@Trail Taylor I will be buying a bushing press tool once you get them made.

Knowing how self important and convinced of his own greatness the little guy is, how could there be any doubt that he's following this thread?

But the bulk of the order was no included. Wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but it looks like hes really given up on following through for his customers.

It was this exact attitude that let the Dude keep ripping member off !!
