Drain at the top, unless that's the feed?

Yupp and oddly a metric thread.

Ha, the second tapped hole?

My turbo has that too. Had a hose on each, joined with a t before the wastegate....seemed a bit much.

A little edge trim took care of the raddling. Plus some stainless hardware. Now a total of $110. Organizing the sea of crap I had floating around, priceless.

I had a rear storage bin like that in my old 42 when I had an aqualu tub. It was awesome. I had a heavy rubber mat cut to fit between the wheel wells.

Killed the rattles and made it totally invisible to the dbags peering in for souvenirs.

Yupp, I’m gonna do the invisible rubber mat trick too.

Toyota must've had a mountain of extra PTO gears to get rid of 🤣

I gotta do something with mine. Tripped over a Braden? PTO winch I bought 15 years ago yesterday.

If you have to take the shifter knob off watch out for the tiny ****ing screws. I modded the bracket to get the handle further away from my leg when driving too.

Sticks out a fair bit otherwise. Or at least my RHD 60 bracket did. Maybe there's different ones.

The problem here is my hand brake on the floor. Exactly where my pto level wants to be.
This winch was from a RHD hj60.

I still have to take it off to drill the cross member that someone home built.

Well I ran into a road block yesterday. Not the drinking and driving type but..... Whoever did this 3B swap didn't have the proper rad support and did a crappy job at making one. Long story short, the bracket holding it up is right in the way of my pto drive shaft and the through-hole I have to drill for it. So now I have to pull the whole rad and support to reconfigure this mess. The fan was rubbing the shroud anyways soo time to fix this issue.

That's the unfortunate reality of working on a modified rig... I had been planning on installing a 6500 lb Matador PTO winch on my 40 for a while. However, my exhaust system, radiator, and engine mounts are all in the same area that the pto shaft would need to go through. I know that with some very careful planning and modification I likely could a fairly oddball and rare winch to work. In the end, I decided a 8274 for $330 would be more affordable and easier than tilting at that windmill.

Not sure if you can make these pictures out but this is my tight squeeze. As men are good at these moments, we’ll make it fit. I had to advance the shifter location by a bolts worth on the top of trans. Might try to slide the transmission to the passenger side a bit so I do t have to change the transmission hump. All I need is an extra inch. Custom!

I’m sure y’all would have done it a different way but this is how my brain does puzzles.

Would using a 60 series top cover for your transmission to move your shifter back 3.5” to get it out from under your heat make things work better? Or is it already a 60 cover and the transmission & engine really far forward?

Usually I only see heaters modified that way when there’s a V8 under the hood.

It’s a 40 series top. This winch was from a 60. The engine swap was t done to Toyota spec. Seems way more forward than stock setup.

Well it fits and dang that was tight. I imagine the 40 series had a different transmission hump than the bandeirante. Had to swing the transmission cross member over a good 1/4” and heavily modify the lever mount but it works.
