Anyone have a heater core bypass valve??? My cruiser is too hot in cab.
Since I don’t have an original engine I’m using a Ford F150 heater valve. They are less than $20.

Doesn't give me a O.D. size

Can't go wrong at that price.

Anybody got the in cab control?

No spare control here.

They are about the same size as stock Toyota valves. Were I to estimate based off my memory I’d say 9/16”. I have one “ford” valve that I’ve been running for 10+ years, and a pex ball valve in both heater lines. They are standard pex ball valves and I used hose clamps to seal the heater hoses to the ball valves. If I close both valves it ensures that the heater cores are both isolated.

It’s probably been more than 20 years that I’ve been running the pair of ball valves. They ensure that the heaters are 100% off. If you have ever blown a heater line while coming over the Malahat you’ll know why. :D

Ah, I thought you meant the extra ball valve. I used to have one on top of the engine. Guess they didn't need a lot of heat in Brazil tho.

My heater goes from uncomfortably burning hot on the right ankle all the way down to just ****ing hot on the right ankle.

So I don't think my stock heater valve is working all that great. I don't think I have a heater control but I'll have a look.

Looking for something original like this?

The upper firewall version from a 60 is similar but more hardware attached. I can look, just maybe.

All good! I'll order the f.o.r.d. valve

A painful 2.5 hours.

Im lost. But this shouldn’t be right. All readings with vacuum in a 5 second period. My brakes are locking stiff after a few minutes of driving.

There's a brand new booster and it did it with the old one too.

Had the same issue. Not enough free play. Loosen the nuts on the master and add a spacer to test.

If loosening the nuts releases the pressure you’ll know that shortening the rod is the solution. There’s a special tool to measure it but you can also use clay or trial and error.

Does anyone around here have any 16” 6x5.5”rims?

New meats, brand new 16” ralley rims. Robbed the BFG’s from that POS Jeep I bought and sold it for the same price I payed. They are about 80%
