I don’t think inflation would account for a rusty 45 that I bought 30 years ago for $100 now being $15,000. I get our dollar being worth less than toilet paper… but what some people want for their garbage is often crazy these days.
 
Well it can be hard to grasp but that’s a prime example of exactly why it has lost buying power. New goods like groceries increased drastically in price in the last few years from an inflationary period.

But bought and paid for goods costing more like used automobiles or everything on Facebook marketplace and as you say:

Is showing that not only have we lost ground to that recent inflation yes, but also our dollar face value has been declining rapidly for years as well.
