Ah yes. Easy to see and thank you Chris. So if I actually pull the radiator then I’ll recommend he go with the 07/up pump. Really trying to see if I can make it work, be functional and not worried about how it looks.
The newer pump worked great for me. I had my radiator pressure tested, steam port added, and neck size changed to whatever the wp size is.![]()

That dry Texas weather ! Looks as good as my trailer and it's only 7years old.So I’m done with SAS. Was an awesome trip this year. Down to focusing on my business (day job) and not taking on any other cruiser jobs. Unless is a total “boxed in job”. IE…knuckles, H55, or something that’s squared out and easy to see a beginning and end. Also, #1 rule is no timeline with the truck owner. Focusing on many things that have been nagging me around the hacienda. Will get that copper 85/60 in here and finalize things. My boys mother has been very patient on her end. Wonderful lady. So I’ve got a car hauler that’s been used as much by others (primarily one dude) as it has by me the last 12+ years. Lots of things been bothering me on it so I’ve decided to tackle the #1 issue. The factory 16g fenders are being replaced with 14g diamond plated fenders. Sweet upgrade and completely necessary. Many folks have driven right up on the old fenders…deformed the inner skirts, rubbed on the inside of tires and the rest is history. Super excited to have this behind me. Ran out of welding gas tonight so I’ll finish burning in the passenger side once the gas is replenished. Then I’ll get it on the lift and straighten out the guides underneath where the ramps slide in. The dude that’s mostly used the trailer over the years destroyed the ramp and the underpinnings years ago when he was using the trailer and the ramp slid out while going down the road and hit a curb. His comment was the trailer jumped several feet in the air!!! Regardless, I’m tired of having to carry the ramps in the bed of my truck vs under the trailer where they were intended to go. Lastly, going to make a spare tire mount using an old axle hub and some square tubing I have laying around. This trailer has hauled a lot of cruisers over the 24 years I’ve owned her and hope to get many more out of her. Oh yeah…going to replace the deck with some new treated lumber. This current wood is actually original.

Yes sir Richard. My first thought was to paint the wheel wells and trailer but the reality is it will outlast me in its current state. I’ve never been one to worry how it looks so I think I’ll save the prep/paint work for cruisers down the roadThat dry Texas weather ! Looks as good as my trailer and it's only 7years old.
The salt air around here just eats them up![]()
How it should be !!In contrast to your experience, CB (capri blue '71) told me the story of his trailer and how the friends who borrow it have improved it in return. One attached a toolbox, and another welded in a receiver for a winch.
Ha…most everyone that uses my stuff or shop do just that. Hell, I can’t tell you how many tools have been donated to the barn by my brother and others that recognize a need while I’m cheaping out on “good is good enough. In contrast to your experience, CB (capri blue '71) told me the story of his trailer and how the friends who borrow it have improved it in return. That was epic CD. What a great first impression as it was the first day we metFetcher is a legend! Glad I was able to use it once and take your entrance gate out to pasture doing so!

Yes sir John. Now that I think about it you’re the one that connected the dots and the reason CD and I met. He was picking up your frame that I carried back down here from Lubbock. Great recall.Just wondering, did the load happen to be an FJ62 frame?
