I’m guessing @landsnoozer is never going to make a build thread so I’ll continue to park the updates here . Shot the roof/hood today. Lots of dust bunnies and an ok spray job. 4 coats of clear so we have room to address them after the paint cures. I am pleased with our body work. Lots of hail damage and could not find any misses.

@CenTXFJ60 This is really inspiring man. One day I might approach some body work, but frankly it scares me. Seeing these photos makes it feel more withing reach. Mason's truck is gonna look great when it's done too. I've got some photos of it from SAS last year and it will be cool to do a side by side with the fresh paint.

So shifting gears a bit. Owned this 32k mile

4-speed car for some time. Has been 62 months since I’ve enjoyed it on the road. Decided to see if it deserved a new owner. After some time on Craigslist a super cool dude from Nashville drove overnight last night and showed up at 9:00 AM. It’s been his dream to own this color pattern 4-speed 81 for 10 years. And to boot his best friend since childhood is a huge cruiser enthusiast. Had to replace the calipers as the seals rotted on 3 wheels. Last corvette for me and don’t believe I’ll miss it. Still have a 79 Z28 (4-speed as well) that will go to my grave with me.

Thanks Jimmy. I make both the 60 and 62 crossmemeber and have CNC machined CrMo shock studs for early and late diameters.

Looks like I'll have to bring down my '71 FJ40 frame to have you weld in the new crossmember I bought a while back from Dave @ 4PlusProducts. The relocated position will make it a lot easier to install the H41 and drum parking brake equipped split transfer case during my upcoming build. Got to get that done before I hit my mid-70's in a few years.
