What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week? (44 Viewers)

the last week and a half has been busy ...

ordered my hi lift, model 605, with all the trimmings. Oredered my ARB Lockers, front and rear, my ARB Compressor. and finshed up the winch mount plate. Added class 8 7/16 bolts for extra holding just in case. Bolted on my cable hooks front left and right. Bolted up the winch mount plate, set the winch in there to make sure there was good clearance for it, and welded the new front bumper in place. Still need my CB Radio, the wheel spacers, and the new battery for the winch. need to install the new alternator too.

Replaced my janky old 3sp with a 4sp, "mmmmmm synchroooos". Replaced front u joints, replaced throttle cable, installed newly stripped and painted front windshield frame with new (to me) glass.

Trans MUCH MUCH better! Puts me thinking about power brakes and steering ... haha.

Re-upholstered a jumpseat and installed it. I just couldn't see paying $300 for new foam and vinyl from SOR. It cost me $21 for the foam and nothing for the canvas.

Took my cruiser for a cruiser for the first time in 3 years after all the rebuilds. Clocked 45 miles on it.
Made it home so that was a plus.

Need to adjust the fingers on the clutch, got a little shutter and one is off from the others,
got rear shaft balanced pick up tonight and need to fix leaky oil pan gasket (at least it is not the rear main like I thought, which I just replaced).

Hope I am on the road again for good after tonight.

Was able to install my new intake/exhaust manifold and get the ol'girl fired up. Took her out for a test drive and she sounds sweet. Thought I had some issues because she was so quiet that I could hear the valve train doing its thing-then just realized I didn't have the exhaust leaks anymore.

I cleaned out my garage and removed the top off my cruiser for summer fun! I hope the roof trusses will hold the weight.
