My daughter gets stickers each day from preschool if she’s good and once they fill their card they get a cheap surprise. Brought home her filled out sticker card today and one of the stickers is a 40!

That's awesome - each sticker is also annotated to teach fuel economy haha

Terradactal has highest fuel economy. The problem is it’ll take your arm and legs off if you don’t feed it. Just like a 60 series.

Interesting point. I was thinking that a teradactyl would be carbon neutral due to eating that farting diplodocus.. Either way my 45 isn't using less diesel though

My '40 burns the remains of those dinosaurs!
Common misconception due to the phrase "fossil fuel"
Fossilized forests of billions of years of vegetative growth broke down underground into petroleum,
Storing billions of tons of carbon in a convenient super energy dense form.

We aren't burning dinosaurs but rather the broken down raw carbon from trees and other vegetation.
Think plant kingdom, not animal kingdom.

At this point, folks are willfully ignorant, the equivalent of sticking your head in the sand. The factual information is everywhere, yet folks still make ignorant statements as if we are to find their ignorance entertaining or cute in some way.
It's just garden variety ignorance, not cute, not funny, just dumb.

Well, THAT escalated quickly!

New OEM fuel tank is IN! It's a lot of bolts for all those fancy covers. New soft lines correct size. blew out the hard lines. Truck runs and fuel flow is BETTER (as in more flow through the filter). Was a lot bigger than poly tank, had to wrestle it in past the rear heater lines. I could not fit anything underneath it (missing felts, tried some old rubber mat material) AND I am missing the grommet for the big access hole to the drain plug. Don't want to store water under there, LOL.

Hitchhiker... prolly picked up in Sedona or Truth or Consequences.

40000 on 2000

I borrowed the right fender from the body shop to test fit the bib with headlight buckets and the new radiator, looks like everything will fit. I need to modify the air box, the intake lands on top of the elephant horn, I need to rotate it a little. I am also not a fan of the mounting bracket.
