That's a very shinny looking engine!
That is what I bought and installed on my 76…. Fit perfect and I liked the fact it was braided SS. Have had it installed nearly 3yrs now.@charliemeyer007 Didn’t you say you got this master cylinder line for the clutch? Any pics of it routed? Seems like 65” might be a lot for a short run.

Vapor polish?
Any pics of how you routed it? 65” seems too long as my slave is directly below the master cylinder. Not sure if that is how all of the FJ40s are.Should have also mentioned that I did remove the hard lines (mine were crusty) but I re-used the same brackets on the firewall to route the new line over and down to the slave.
dont have pics at the moment…. but on a ‘76 the slave is on the passenger side of the bell housing (opposite side of the master)Any pics of how you routed it? 65” seems too long as my slave is directly below the master cylinder. Not sure if that is how all of the FJ40s are.
Sounds like a great idea for a movie!Golly, back in 1972, you couldn’t buy Coors Beer east of the Rockies. Two crazy and older friends of mine took his F-250 to Colorado and drove back to Vermont with 20 cases and did it all in a week. Good ole days are long gone…so is he by the way
Ah, that would be why it is 65” long…my 1964 was originally a 3 speed, later converted to a 4 speed, but the slave cylinder must not have moved. So that 35” will work. I might just keep the line I have.dont have pics at the moment…. but on a ‘76 the slave is on the passenger side of the bell housing (opposite side of the master)
from the listing:
“This is great line to plumb your clutch system. Fits 4 speed FJ40's, 75-83 and 81-87 FJ60's.”
Looks like this is the shorter option:
