yes they is. ha New OLD stock.
Don’t tires age regardless of use? They just degrade right? @clrussell ?

When I got my 40 it had 5 brand new looking BFG KO tires. 2 tore themselves to shreds before I ponied up and got actual new tires.

I raise hell about bird poop on my hood.....you have a whole hub with studs down ON the hood ! lmao I guess the new wears off after a while.
I have a patina rig and it certainly allow for more carless placement of things on the hood and fenders.

Well i was going to get started on a long overdue front knuckle rebuild. What am i missing here? Shouldn't there be a thrust washer that goes behind the spindle nut? All I have is the locking nut, locking nut washer and the spindle nut. Someone has been in there before. The locking nut and spindle nut were assaulted with a chisel. This is a 1972 FJ40 with the barrel style warn lock-o-matic hubs. Thanks for any insight.

Just a follow up to my situation. I ordered new thrust washers and nuts from cruiser outfitters. I reassembled and the drum style warn hub was able to fit. Not sure why the thrust washer was removed in the first place???

No pics. Spent a couple of hours dropping the heater and wiper switch in the Karma Cruiser to pull out the choke cable for a full service. I had installed the cable new about 30 years ago for the PO, along with all new OE heater duct and defrost tubes. It was very nice that the rubber was all still supple.😊

Decided when I put it back together that I didn’t like the compromised path that the cable was forced through. So I pondered it for a few minutes, marked, punched and drilled a new hole through the firewall a couple of inches higher and closer to the centerline. The cable now has a smoother arc to the carb that is much less likely to get kinked when I pull the cover to adjust the valves.😉

Note (if you are considering this mod) take note of how far the cowl vent dips under the cowl inside the cab before you drill. You cannot get a perfectly straight shot from the cable knob through the firewall. But it is possible to pass the cable through the cowl vent linkage without interference.😉

@Buffchief ‘s rig is extra badass. While I’ve only seen pictures, I’d be afraid to look at it in person for fear of scratching it.

Snowy drive to preschool.

Mine are perfectly fine. No cracks leak down etc... I had them stored in a cool barn on a shelf on the rims with air. I plan on upgrading sometime but they are fine. Still soft pliable.
I also have a 1952 Willys truck with bias play muds from 1970's that are cracked and NOT road worthy but hold air for past 5 years here on my farm. I think it depends on how their stored
