So far, that patina is looking good.

Have you tried using water and silicon-carbide sand paper, like 1000-grit? No fumes, no dust.

I stripped all the green enamel off of the front of an aftermarket SOR pre-'63 bezel with 1000 and 600-grit, and it doesn't look like it was ever painted. It came with quality color, much better than rattle-can It was quite a bit of work, but, for the body, maybe you can elevate the process with power tools?
I may give that a try, thanks!

Reworked the frozen, broken windshield hinge pins on the 61.

Did you know that bondo will come right off with a heat gun? I think a hair dryer is too cool of a temp, but one of those heat guns you use for heat shrink tubing will make QUICK work of any bondo removal without the dusty mess of sanding.

This is what I have and it has two heat settings.

Bought a heat gun, commenced scraping. Not exactly quick, but effective for sure. I need a narrower scraper. It’s thick in parts, would’ve taken forever to sand…

A hard plastic scraper would work well, just dont direct the heat gun right at the scraper. When i used a heat gun to remove bondo in the past, i recall it coming off in a plumbers putty kind of consistency.
The plastic scraper didn’t really hold up too well. I scrounged up a wide metal one, but will pick up a narrower one for next time.

That's good progress! Hard to tell, but looks like you may have some green fiber filler there mid-quarter panel. If so, I doubt that stuff will come off with the scraper/heat gun, it gets much harder due to a different chemistry than your typical brown/pink no fiber bondo. I know it is much more difficult to sand than bondo and made for thicker fill areas.

To be honest, I thought I was in the Bang Bang Bang Bang thread and was adding the to poster's options for a rear locker. But anyway, yes, the Powertrax is quiet and the only time I know it's back there is when wheeling. Works for most obstacles, but when needed, I just flip the power switch for the front elocker.

Finished off the tray back, for now... and finally got a coat of paint on the rig. What a difference.
