Finally mounted my pro tools tube bender on an engine stand. First project is sliders for the 40.
I really like the swag attachment for the ram on the bender.
I thought that the hydraulic ram needed to be in a vertical orientation? Can the gear-driven bottle jack for the Cruiser be used to bend pipe?

I usually see it mounted horizontal. In fact, pro tools sells a hydraulic set horizontal as well as JD squared. I was hoping that the engine stand would allow me horizontal or vertical bending but I didn’t plan well and the ram hits the upright on the stand stopping rotation to vertical.

As for the bottle jack question, I guess it would depend on the bender setup. I have a horrible freight pipe bender that uses a bottle jack. But you also said pipe instead of tube. They are different beasts. Pipe is measured inner diameter and generally designed to transport where tube is measure outer diameter and generally designed for structure. Pipe bends push a bend between rollers. Tube benders pull tube around a die.

Some use a pipe bender to bend tube but you need to go very slow and you’re likely to get some dings and kinks…but heard it’s possible.

Installed new mirrors this week and had family outing at Houston Coffee & Cars this morning. The 40 received a lot of love despite being surrounded by dozens of high dollar exotics…

Finally installed the Con-ferr roof basket. I bought this a while ago off MUD. Had it blasted and powder coated and had the mounting brackets clear zinced. Went to put it on last year and found out it was to small:bang:. Then I saw how @rkymtnflyfisher installed his with some channels he had fabricated to span the mounts. I stole his idea and it worked perfect. Had the channels powdered last month and finally got this thing put on. I might move it towards the rear a couple inches but for now its just fine since the 40 is parked for winter. Love how tough it looks.

That looks awesome!

I drilled a hole in the end of my crossbars to attach one end of my hammock to, or a tarp.

Took the Troopy out into the Caribbean winter sun
